The White Slave Children of Louisiana

At the time of the American Civil War, there were those who considered enslaved Afrodescendant people to be not only inferior to white people, but almost sub-human. How then can you connect with people who automatically dehumanise you? By showing them people in your position who look like them. This was the concept behind the campaign promoting ‘the white slave children of Louisiana’.
