I love Meg, she is exactly what Jack wanted her to be in their band. Maybe they would still be together had people stopped picking on her. She is precious!

Also, It would be hard enough just to keep up with Jack, lol! Way to hang in there Meg! Im sure she done it because she loves him.

This is what made them so great. That whole thing was improvised with no set list. She just followed his lead - and when his guitar went sideways he just moved to the organ and gave it a new flavor like a master chef. "Hmmm, recipe says chicken broth - I don't have any chicken broth, I guess I'll use beer." and without a word Meg says 'beer would be good'. Less than a month after this show Meg would call it quits and never look back. Ten years on the dot.

I don’t care what anyone says, Meg was the perfect drummer for the white stripes. The fact that she can keep up with this mayhem is incredible. I’m sure they rehearsed some of this but there’s still a massive level of skill needed to keep pace. Plus there’s way more songs and transitions involved than the title of this video let’s you know. Awesome stuff and thanks for posting.

I cannot even begin to describe how happy and sad I am right now. Im happy I found this portion of this show as i've never seen this one before, which is a very rare find. Then the optimistic side as always thought of how there is a possibility that I might get to see Jack White in my life, as I have not been able to do that yet... but for some reason I'm still being greedy and wanting to see Jack & Meg! They have moved on, and so should & will I, but DAMNIT! ;)

What's that weird thing to the left of Meg that looks like a synth or something?
@rhysdavies771411 ай бұрын
It's a board with bells (tuned to various different keys) on it, like reception bells you'd get in a hotel. As far as I know they only feature on the song Red Rain - you can see Meg use them during the "In The Basement" performance, which is on KZbin. A year late but I hope this helps haha
