See that's part of what it means when people say they don't write them like they used to. I mean for a while I think that expression applied mostly to the fact that people weren't even using real instruments anymore. But it actually has a lot to do with the content. I mean some of the stuff I hear coming out of people's cars I can't believe it's actually music. Singing about stuff they should be ashamed to admit to himself in the mirror. Bragging about being disrespectful. This era was it was just so special because everything really meant something and these guys really had something to say that was so relevant that it's still relevant! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Fans of this: i fish offshore here in South Florida 2-3 nights/week. I was a teen watching Miami Vice and heard this Season 3, Episode 1. Thought it was Phil Collins, but realized quickly it was another group. Figured it out and it has been the first song of the playlist for 30 years. This version has replaced the old one and gets us in the mood ro settle down and focus on the snapper, grouper, getting the chum right, loosening the beer from the ice, all business, rewind tune/restart, crack a beer open, smoke something and let Entwhistle beat the fish onto our hooks with the exquisite bass play. I feel odd if I dont start ANY adventure without playing this top shelf work of art! TY OP!

let us make the record companies happy and do not even think of releasing a brilliant track like this, who will buy it? They have a lot to answer for with so many talented artistes who had to obey the rules of the times. The public who actually spend their hard earned money know when a band is hog tied, shame on the companies that did this for many years, frustrating for many bands, whose talent was not allowed to give such joy to us paying fans. Shame on you, but we knew, thank you all the bands that tried so hard to bring all their ideas and talents to us, you were worth our money and we thank you.

@kevinr.35427 ай бұрын
And that was Pete's biggest complaint (yes he complained about Moons playing among most other things) that he would never just hold a straight beat. He had to add lots of fills and crashes in his ADHD style. When they finally got the new guy playing a straight beat, they were so pumped they made a track that completely transcended their own sound and style. Most people don't think this is the Who. More like Peter Gabriel, early Robert Palmer or someone from the 80s.
