I love the WHO since the 60s and they are still my favourite band. Saw them in London at the time of TOMMY. Well now I don't listen much to rock but every now and then I still enjoy listening to some of their stuff. I was really crazy about them and at this very moment I'm listening to Tattoo from Live not Leeds definitely a favourite one. It still moves me.

I remember seeing Iron Maiden in 86...yes I was just a stupid kid...and my ears were ringing two days later ... I've read that The Who played the loudest gig ever...anyone care to elaborate ? Did seeing The Who in the late 60s/70s fuck up your hearing ?

The Who were essentially one of the LOUDEST bands back in their prime. They broke the record (at the time) for loudest band in the Guiness World Records at ~120 decibels. Louder than Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, they had it all!
