I swear they chose the right song for every moment of this show. Whether it was an artist or one of Jan Hammers compositions it was pretty spot on. The song could be playing and no other sound could be heard and it told the story so well. Oh yeah and Tim Trumans compositions in season 5 were ok.

I love the close up views on Crockett's Bren Ten Pistol.Then he had to transisition to a Smith & Wesson M645 in .45 ACP in Season 3.Sadly the company that made The Bren-Ten.Dornaus and Dixon went Out of business a year later.However The Bren Ten is a classic and sought after by collecters,if they can (A) Find one.(B).Afford it.

Aaah I see you know your firearms my friend! I wanted a Bren Ten with a passion back then! But they were so dam expensive and hard to get magazines for :'-( So I bought a S&W 645 in '86 and believe it or not, I still have it! The 645 was only produced from 1985-1988. You can find them every once in a while online or in pawn shops. Mine was never holstered so it's in excellent condition. My only gripe was that dam hexagon screw on the safety/decocker! It ALWAYS came a loose! I don't have Crockett's Bren Ten but I have his 645 :-)

It is a cool gun. Unfortunately that company could never get it's act together. They had such a problem with magazine production that some guns were shipped to customers with no magazine at all!

In the early 2000s, Orlando Orlando.gov I went by a gun show display that had 2 brand new matched Bren 10 D&Ds, chrome in a wood case for $1200.00! A great offer for any serious collector. Fun fact: Crockett had the new 10mm but later switched to a S&W 645 model. In the final episodes he went with the new "high tech" 4506 S&W stainless. As a back up, Crockett toted a 6906 9mm but during the show, he wore or used different guns. Imfdb.org . By the way, the Miami Vice Bren 10 was revised to look, cycle blank .45acp loads. The producers had problems making 10mm blank cases to the prop guys said: let's just use .45acp instead.

My 645 ran like a dream. S&W should have had a longer production run of them. Springfield Armory ran the Omega 10mm, Still have mine with Stahl Barrels

Unfortunately it’s dubbed with a 44 magnum’s sound. The Bren 10 was manufactured as 10mm but the on screen gun was chambered in .45acp as the banks were easier to come by and slightly more reliable 🤷🏼‍♂️
