one of my favorite who songs, I love that verse where he says he asked musicians always so cool.

seeing this used to motivate me to start a rock band while doing intense air guitar on my teenage year.. now I'm turning into another boring university graduate.. :( this performance and their Woodstock 1969 still give me chills

I've always wished that I could travel back in time to go see these guys at the Isle of Wight during this time period, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, etc.

I did this all through my twenties. I got Christianity, some college education and all I did was do what every other young person does. Who could appreciate my personal search more than myself. Other people married, had kids, got divorced, and so on. I got religion and a college education that never helped me to make any real money. Anyway, love everything about this song.

The vocals sound live, but the music sounds like the original recording.

Someone put the original song over the live concert. As you can see Keith makes different things with his Drums. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXWleXmjibxqgKs

Keith Moon was a perfect fit for the Who, nobody knew that more than the man himself. He was amazing, but needed the grounding that Pete offered...

"I asked Bobby Dylan. I asked the Beatles." is my favorite who song line. This is perhaps their last single prior to Pete's continuous over-use of keyboards.

Thanks for the great posting.Should point out that though the show displayed here is the German "Hits-A-GoGo",the clip sourced-presented here was taken from BBC's Top Of The Pops in 1970!Wondering as was shot in colour origionaly if just this b/w print exists or might a colour copy of The Who on TOTP still exist for The Seeker?Interesting, sadly fear may never know..Thanks again for the great posting!

Only seconded to Mr. Hyde, the very second best Who song. The best Who song is obvious to everybody. If you don't know already, it's not Happy Jack.

Interesting that the barely show John Entwistle - and he's considered one of the best rock bassists of all time. In the official video he isn't shown at all - just his fingers.

James L. They are not really playing, only Roger is really singing. It is called playback, they used it for all different bands and songs. You can tell the music is the studio recording, without the vocal track.
