@@ashlynn1652 I think its a great memory for her. I have a similar story involving a Who concert I attended in 82. Its one of my favorite concerts because of the odd twists and turns in the adventure. Not my first concert. Not the first time that I saw those Rock Gods. Second time actually, first time I saw them in London. That 2nd one is my favorite though. Unfortunately, even then, people were Bat Shit Crazy, sometimes more so. LSD, Cocaine, Mushrooms ETC...(not weed), helped with the bat shit effect. Now there seems to be professional crazies, not as many are drug induced, but real pros at what they do. Trust rarely factors in....

Great track. Also, great job in fitting 1970 Isle of Wight video to the Live at Leeds audio. The Leeds audio is the 7-33 mins here and the Isle of Wight Magic Bus was just over 3-30 mins, so well done on the genuinely great work in repurposing the Isle of Wight various video segments to fit the Leeds audio.

Pete Townshend, as a multi-layered Guitarist, is so underrated that it's just goddamn wrong!!!! That guy is one of the best guitarists out there. Not only is he an amazing composer, the guy is just a phenomenal musician. He only solos when the song asks for one. And when the song asks for one, he delivers something executed so well, with dynamics, tension, mood, atmosphere and above all a sense of rhythm that is off the scale, that one wonders why his songs don't ask for more solos. Because ... they don't all need one, and he knows that.

Went by myself and couldnt find an Uber or taxi back so I walked all the way to a restaurant at least 14 blocks away..halfway home. I thought I could get a cup of tea and then go the remaining 14 blocks. Across the street from the deli was a few people with Who backstages on and one invited me with them and we went upstairs to the upper part of the restaurant. I was asked what I did and I told them I did guest vocals for the Who tribute. They asked which one and I told them and they said they were friends with them! A cut from one of the greatest live LPs of all time (which I've lived with for 50 years), with visuals (which I am seeing for the first time)... Who cares if they don't match up exactly? These guys were always fun to watch. A one-chord song with a Bo Diddley-beat... Attempted by anyone else, this would be a study in crushing boredom... With these guys, one of the half-dozen truly great Rock bands of all time, this is an absolute gas. (And you can never have enough close-ups of Entwhistle's hands, he being, actually, the greatest virtuoso of the four of them.)

I listened to this album until my ears bled! I spent my life in music, born in the 50s, went along with that, woke up in the 60s with The Beatles, Small Faces then THE WHO. I saw KEITH MOON once and remembered why I was here on Earth. I played drums with professionals starting at age 12 - I still play with my Granddaughter's band - I toured Europe/UK, and worked with legends like the Four Tops and the Temptations. I met and shook hands with then played for...CHUCK BERRY. I have been blessed. Thank you Keith John Moon and later John Bonham.

I worked for The Four Tops and The Temptations as well as many others too. Small World for sure. I'm an Audio Engineer, started back when the mixers were just pots like was used at Woodstock. Worked all the way to the "digital revolution." The analog days were the fun times, by far.

Back in the Stone Age, I moved to NYC post-college to join a training program at a big investment bank. The program included a stint working overnight in the 'data center,' where they kept the big IBM machines that processed all transactions for the bank each night. We dressed in suits, but it was a physical gig, literally running around feeding the machines data needed to keep processing. While some colleagues preferred certain substances for motivation, I grabbed the first cassette off my flatmate's desk (Live at Leeds...had never heard it), borrowed his boombox, and played it at absolute top volume. About 20 minutes in, the shift manager poked his head through the automatic sliding doors, thus flooding this song into the other room where the other 20-odd people were working. He stared at me for about a 5 count, shook his head, and left. He never bothered me again, and I played it every single shift afterward.
