I hate how Many fans including Molly and Hermione think that Sirius sees Harry as James and wants to make him his best friend over again !! They just don't understand the magnitude of the loss that Sirius lost, he lost a brother in the true sense of the word a friend who opened his house for him and made him the godfather of his son and was with him like his shadow It's like Harry losing Ron Can you imagine it💔 Sirius may have seen James in Harry, but I'm sure he was determined to stop comparing between them When Harry confronted him in Chapter 29 about what he saw in Snape's memory he noticed that the boy also resembled his mother in his personality **The point is Sirius hasn't lost his mind. He knows that Harry is James' son but the loneliness makes him feel nostalgic for James every time he looks at Harry** .
