Loretta really was a living legend. She never forgot where she came from. Loretta will always be the queen of country music. My Pappaw couldn't stand Barbara Mandrel. He hated her lobbying for seat belt laws in Tennessee. In 1990, in his Nissan Sentra, he was rear-ended by mack truck. He was badly bruised across his torso. He threw a blood clot to his brain from the internal bleeding caused by the seat belt. He suffered for a month and died in the hospital. He was the love of my life. I'm 42 now and I still cry for him. I firmly believe to this day that seat belts should be a personal choice, like many other things they've learned to make money from.
