I love this song. Describes part of the story of Australia. Great movie. I liked it and subscribed to the channel.

very well done and appart from the date 1861 ,i think after Neds raign .I met one of the actors ,while still in junior high school ,by the way NED was BORN IN AUSTRALIA .

@@GaraGambini There are two versions, the Irish version and the Australian version. The man the song is about is a cultural figure to both Ireland and Australia.

@@GaraGambini The Irish version's tune is derived from the tune to Galway Bay. The Australian version uses the surname Dolan instead of Doogan, the original surname of Jack was Donahue, likely based on the real life figure of Jack Donahue.
