Awesome videos that have made me want to: 1) Learn to ride a motorcycle, 2) Buy a Triumph, 3) Go on an extended break somewhere in Europe in the next 6 months. Just re-watched this video after our very recent visit to Tenerife. Wife and I hired two bikes from Adam at Easy Rider. We rode to where you had lunch, it looks like we were in the same cafe. I had the T120 at your sum up viewpoint. We were inspired to visit (and film for our small channel) because of your vids. After many short visits to the Canaries, we are now hoping to bring our own bikes to the islands in my Transit Custom van and stay for longer. Watched your travel video with the Fiat and trailer last night. It looks like ferry and travel costs are up but still doable. The Spanish lifestyle is probably our favourite. Cost of living, petrol, drinks and accommodation is so appealing. We've probably found it later in life than you and Monika but thanks for the inspiration. Cheers, Richard and Carol

One of the best review videos I’ve seen. I stumbled onto your videos first with the Moto Guzzi V7III review. You seemed to really enjoy the bike. May I recommend you find a Moto Guzzi V85TT (specifically the “Travel” version) to ride. I think you’ll find this “Adventure” bike from Mandello del Lario a joy to ride. Guzzi call it their “modern-classic enduro”. It has all the amenities a proper adventure/touring bike should have… including a USB port conveniently located next to the TFT dash. I have both the V85TT Travel and a V7 Stone S. I also have two Ducatis I love, but ride my Guzzis most. Great video again. Thanks!

Hi Freddie, congrats for your video. Let me tell you that if you have enjoyed the NE of Tenerife with its bendy roads and beautiful landscapes, you must consider to take the ferry to the small island of La Gomera, along with Mónica and the Bonnie. Go there for a two to three days visit if you can and I assure you that it will blow up your mind. For a motorcyclist there are few places in the world as pleasant to visit as this wonderful little island, Mónica and you will be easily in awe (and in love) with its amazing roads, landscapes and small towns. Do not forget to travel along the Garajonay National Park in the center of the island and take a ride wandering the roads to Hermigua, Vallehermoso, Roque de Agando . . . Oh! how I miss this tiny island.

Hello, Freddie and Monica. Wonderful video, as always! I recommend you to visit some traditional "guachinches" here, in Tenerife. The best ones are on the north part. We, islanders, really enjoy doing some routes of guachinches. They are, usually, a little hidden, so is always an adventure going to eat there. "Guachinches" were born to sell wine first, so they are prepared to enjoy some time drinking and eating traditional food. We usually order a variaty of food to share, like "garbanzas", "morcillas", "chistorras" (these are sausages) and grilled cheese. "Guachinches" are awesome, really. I hope you keep enjoying the island, it is delighful, indeed!

Another fine ride! Thanks. If you're up north again, be sure to wind your way down into El Pris. Park, and go for the trail walk past the big stone boat ramp, that winds its way along the rocks. Eat at the fisherman's restaurant, you pick your own fish... oh, wait.. sorry, you guys can skip that bit. The pounding Atlantic in El Pris will stir your souls. Go for a dip in the wild tide pool right and look for the plaque of the town's famous man out on the rocks. Good to have your thoughts on the PA also👍. They surprised everyone (I never drank the HD koolaid, but I'd buy the base model PA in a flash).

Alas the Pan America arrived too late for me, although I am going for a test ride in a few weeks. Great video and review. I think you need two bikes, classic and Adv!
@sunrisejak27092 жыл бұрын
I agree that a USB port should be a standard item there days. However, the use of a small battery bank solves the issue. Sometimes they are even built into the mobile case itself. I use a small tank bag with my mobile connected to a battery bank that will power my phone for 3-4 days so no worry of running out of battery. It's very small and you eliminate a potential wire connected to the bike. Also most mobile phones are not conducive to being in the elements strapped to the handlebars.

Great video as always and stunning scenery, just been out tonight and it's 3 degrees here 🥶. I think you have reached the place where most bikers get eventually, they love different bikes for different reasons and if possible would own loads for each mode of riding. Ride safe both of you 👍

Hello Freddie, That has to be your best video yet. Thanks for sharing. Spot on. I hear you on adventure v modern retro thing. I haven't ridden the Harley but I do have a BMW R1250GS Adventure. Much like the Harley, it's nearly perfect in every way. I strongly recommend you test ride one before opting for the Harley. But perfection is not all that it is cracked up to be. Sometimes you need something else in your garage. Something less perfect, which requires a little more attention to detail on the ride. For me, that is the BMW R nineT. I therefore have the best of both worlds. If I were you, I'd opt for an adventure bike and keep the Bonnie if you can. That would be an awesome combination and most boxes will be ticked unless you need a sportsbike or a scooter in your life!!! BTW, I test rode a Diavel last week, following your Ducati Monster video. You're right - Ducatis are a touch harsh - too much for me. Best wishes whatever you decide. 👍

Great video Freddie! Really enjoying your stuff. If you're going to buy that Harley though I would suggest trying out the competition first. KTM, BMW and Ducati all make incredible adventure bikes that are superior to this , albeit first, attempt by Harley to get a slice of this market. The Pan is, by all accounts, a great bike but it isn't as good as the competition! Also, if you try out the competition you can get a few more videos out of it!

Absolutely agreed to your statement about integrated satnav's. Unfortunately, modern phones and their camera's become quite sensitive either and prone to damage (even with vibration damping).
@jkk2442 жыл бұрын
Phones damaged? Hmmm, not sure about that. Have you ever watched the hundreds of motorcycle adventure videos on KZbin by Noraly of Itchy Boots fame? She’s put her iPhones mounted on her various small bikes through terrible beatings over tens of thousands of kilometers off-road and never once had an issue.
@FreddieDobbs2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing this! I can only speak from my my experience- I haven’t had a phone camera issue so far with about 20k miles using my phone as satnav. But it’s a very important point you make, thanks Walter!🙂🙌🏻
@watster2 жыл бұрын
I think this very much depends on the phone you have. Newer phones are more sensitive. My trusty Pixel 2 XL will act up after a short ride, so I have actually stopped using my mount (SP Connect with the Anti Vibration module). I will get a new phone to use as a camera and use the old for navigation.

Very interesting- I’ve heard that for the money, the big V Strom is unbeatable!

@@FreddieDobbs definitely value for money, does not have some of the fancy tech as the BMW Gs or the Honda Africa Twin. But still a great bike for the money!! Only reason I am thinking of updating my 2018 model is because I would like cruise control....

Possibly not the first to say this, but that region is amazing, I must ride down there! For the Pan America, yes there is a USB-C charging point on the right of the screen. The HD map app is not the best and there should be an update both for the bike ECM and app next year which will sort some programming issues. In Switzerland we are able to register two vehicles on one plate, so I am lucky to have 2 HDs, one for the looks and the Pan America for more every day and a little trail work. Keep them coming, these videos are great! PS One thing with HD is the social life, Prague 2018, 90’000+ HDs met up for the 115th Anniversary of MOCO with the Davisson’s present. Each year in Europe the meet ups count at least 20’000 bikes…

Thanks very much for this! So interesting that you can register two bikes on one plate- that’s brilliant! Very good point about HD- they’re unparalleled in that regard🙂👌🏻🏍🏍🏍🏍

Freddie, if you like that coastal type of scenery, go to Cape town and ride the road to Mossel Bay, do some Whale watching on the way

Hey not sure if you'll see this. I'm a new subscriber and I really love the way you speak so passionately about motorcycles. I have just one suggestion. Please include POV videos of you riding the motorcycle with no music.
