This album is soooo underrated. I love Liquid Mercury, English Electric Lightning, My Town, Lost at Sea to name a few. :-)

This has to be one of THE best albums in the last 20 years.Amazing how so much shit can make the charts, get kudos from so-called music critics, but when the real deal comes along,it gets ignored.Such a pity.Wish there was more from this album posted on You Tube, but then, that's life.

I first learned of TWS via hearing Revolutionary Spirit on one of those old digital cable music channels, and they were an absolute gem of a find. Such smooth, soothing vocals and lush melodies... it's a shame their output is not commonly remembered among the public. Gotta love how they still rocked that old 80s sound even with new output in the 2000s. Thanks for the upload and kudos to the group.

This band is miraculous! I was in college in the early-mid 80s but never heard of this band. I found them by accident on YT and so happy I did! Their music hits me in the chakra :)

I had purchased 'The Coldest Winter' on iTunes around the time of its release, having since dumped Apple out of my life the album fell by the wayside. I recently got it on CD (new) via Amazon. Can someone please explain to in a world of abismal Ed Shearin and Ed Shearin sound alikes why this album wasn't or isn't massive. It's perfect, not a weak track. Ten years on it speaks more of current politics than any album in the charts. Pure bliss. Thank you and the very best of luck to you on any future recordings.

I share your opinion of Sheeran. I recoil the moment I detect his lame tone. This album is indeed a masterpiece, though is absent, "The worst year of my life," which to me is their single best track. I doubt it'll ever happen, but I'd love to still hear Paul Simpson sing.

I only heard about this band a few weeks ago. I decided to check out the early work first and go from there. I like this though, it kind of reminds me a little bit of The Mission's later work.

I have a different, and in my view better version of 'Underwater'. I don't recall why it's different or where I obtained it, but it sounds like it may even be a different recording. It's certainly a different mix and a different ambience.

Paul Simpson tried to recreated the original magic of Bringing Home the Ashes on this album. They keep the same cold drum machine and hold on to the previous "awe and magic" theme from their first album. Bringing Home the Ashes was amazing! Space Flower was a slight departure from their original style and was excellent. This mess tries to harken back to Ashes but bores one to the soul. I'm sorry but as a big fan of them I have to say it's a big disappointment. For those who enjoy this, I am happy for you. I would suggest trying out their earlier works, you won't be disappointed. I only wish they would use a real drummer instead of a machine. It would add more feeling. Cheers all!

Although I agree on some points.I am an old fan and I am not disappointment in the least.Just enjoy this for what it is.A continuum of The Wild Swans. You can never go back.( unfortunately )

Charles Jannuzi And Les Pattinson on bass too. Seamless storytelling with atmospheric music here. The beautiful album cover artwork foreshadows what’s to come inside.
