I just found the right clothes and the right look for me 💜. I also have long, beautiful hair and I'm really proud of it. I've been mistaken for trans a couple of times (and mistaken for gay more than I can count!) but I don't care anymore; I just want to be me, expressing myself instead of expressing what other people expect! and that's the me I like best 💕. I like lots of girly stuff like dolls and fashion, and I LOVE giving my own flair to men's formal attire 😁, but I also like sports. I just like what I like, and that is that. This is so true, I'm a boy and my sister literally steals my clothes and that's perfectly acceptable. Conversely, as soon as a man starts acting like 1% more feminine it's the armageddon; No one will trust you or respect you; It's seen as a shameful thing, and when people call you effeminate they mean you suck. I couldn't agree more that femininity, in both males and females, is overwhelmingly seen as a negative thing and a weakness; People will ask you "are you a guy or a girl?" like "are you a winner or a loser?", and as someone who doesn't identify with anything resembling masculinity at all, this really hurts me. The women's rights movements of the past fought for this to change but it kinda feels like we're still in the 1800s sometimes. There's nothing wrong with being feminine. We must stop pretending like there is the sooner the better.

You are so right, clothes are just clothes. To me all that should matter is 1. Do they feel comfy to wear? (Sensory stuff) 2. Do they help express something about personality, not gender but like say person is a microbiologist so like they have a button up shirt with a bunch of little bacteria and phytoplankton with little chloroplasts and stuff, anyway but yeah just expresses their interest in microbiology because it's more fun to have a conversation around things, though at the same time conversation is absolutely valid but feels sometimes less like a conversation and more like spoken down to by someone for what you are wearing, like sometimes I paint my nails for fun and it's artistic, it's an outlet I can express myself by and currently as of this comment I have them in order left to right based on the Eeveelution pokedex order with shiny Eevee ending off for the pinky, so both smallest fingers fit as Eevee, but I digress, anyway but it's like I would rather people see that and ask me which one is my favorite or share memory of their Espeon helping them get through pokemon gold or how excited they were when Sylveon was released and maybe fan art they found of other Eeveelutions like "Oh I hope they make a flying type", or just something that isn't just asking me why I painted my nails because the answer is I just wanted to is all and I mean some people you can have a civil conversation about gender, but bigots don't really want to listen. I guess last for clothes is just if they appropriate which I kind of hate because of the social stigma and how people might use that to push things, but to me it's like if one is going to someone elses wedding, probably shouldn't show up in bridal attire or whatever, right? Like it isn't that a person is never allowed to wear that either, kind of similar to how if went to Disneyland a person shouldn't dress up as the fairy godmother even though she is their favorite character, but I mean if a Disney adult shows up in park with a shirt that says Bippity Boppity Boo like I don't see what's the problem aside from the arbitrary restriction that people are supposed to reach a certain age and stop liking things, but social stuff it is all nuanced and asked about or whatever and getting upset over gender, I mean why? Why do clothes need to be gendered? They don't. If not harming anyone people just wear what they want, sometimes the sun is out and it is just to hot for sleeve, other times a sleeve is like blankets for arms, can be nice so go with them, but I have no idea where I am going with this... Great video, keep on keeping on!

@Lingeish24 күн бұрын
@@LiamODonovan-l6e No, I'm simply saying that we shouldn't ignore the societal values placed on the dress. Technically, you are absolutely right, but there is a reason why we differentiate between manly men and femboys, and feminine women and tomboys. It is a societal distinction. If you think I'm against the idea of femboys, no I'm not saying that. I too think they are cute. It's just that I'm saying that society has made it so that masculinity is associated with some dresses and femininity is associated with other clothes. Let me ask you something. Why can't femboys be feminine without skirts and crop tops? Why do masculine men not wear those at the gym? Think. Same with formal attire. Why can't a celebrity attend an interview or give a concert with shorts they wear at home. Often, clothes are symbolic of status too, especially when you bring in the idea of brands.
@LiamODonovan-l6e24 күн бұрын

They’re a huge advocate for queer and trans youth (and adults), and great representation for the queer community in professional track and field. They’re also dating the wonderful Emma Gee, another professional runner, and the first openly LGBTQ+ BYU runner Emma and Nikki run a virtual pride 5k every year and donate all the money to various queer projects! Hiktz holds the American record in the mile, they’re the 2023 US 1500m champion, got a silver medal at the 2024 world indoor championships, and is currently signed with Grand Slam Track. They’re also sponsored by Lululemon and recently won the Kalakaua Merrie Mile (the first non-man to ever win this race) Their PR’s are also insane! 1:59 in the 800m, and 3:55 in the 1500m, their main two events.

Curves. Smaller torsos. Thinner waists. Longer legs. If you’re cis women and are unlucky in this department, dresses just aren’t going to look good on you. I have unreal amounts of respect for men who have the confidence and self-image to bend gender norms like this, it's actually crazy.

Hmm. I don't wanna wear fem clothing. It's not cuz of fear. It's not my style. I really had to think about it. I'm glad you made this I think I talked about this to someone on the internet but don't remember fully. Hmm this is so interesting. I wanna base my style off of fictional characters I like and these characters tend to be male. But maybe it's because of the restricting label of masc and that's why I like masc... but I really like masc characters. I guess I'm lucky to be cis male and naturally not like this stuff.

If women can wear pants, men should be able to wear dresses. Why not? Otherwise you'd have a double standard and that is unjust.

Great vid! I’m an AroAce who is aesthetically attractive to feminine men, masculine women and androgynous people in general ❤

I could potentially take issue with one thing, l and that's your as long as it's covering what needs to be covered line. We might disagree on this. But, overall, I agree with the message. Es qui es, et dice quod sentis

Before I knew femboys existed (a while ago), I was saying "I am attracted to women who are feminine", then femboys came in my life, yep "I am attracted to feminine folks, regardless of gender". The moew u know. 😂
