I got these from the Kickstarter back in the day. They came with a sheet of reusable stickers (trees, various other props etc) to add variety.

It's worth using the Pathfinder Flip-Tiles in conjunction with these - it opens up so much modification potential, as you can just blu-tac them to the Loke Battle Maps, and it works so well!

BLUE TAC! I was wishing for magnet options, but that's a great hack! Thanks!
@NefariousKoelАй бұрын
Blue-Tac is damn handy. Helps a lot with attaching minis to the bottom of empty pill bottles for much easier holding while painting. Always have some.
@VanDavisАй бұрын
Oh, I definitely use it for minis...I just hadn't gotten to the idea of holding down these floppy game tiles! 😆

I really need to pick up one of those books for some small scale solo gaming

I’ve been using battlemats for a while. I’ve used the wilderness for getting to the dungeon adventure. It’s also where the hero’s camp before delving back into the dungeon. It’s really added to HQ.

The Terrain Set has just been released. I received it and what I love is that you can customize it to your exact need !

These battle mats are SO fun to run campaign Heroquest adventures between dungeons!

Great ideas.

Oh I was looking for this. Tough to find.
@RC-qk7qwАй бұрын
That explains why I couldn’t find it. I assumed it was replaced with The Terrain Set. I was beginning to think I remembered something that never existed.
@AshQuestАй бұрын
Just found out about the terrain set myself. I understand why the terrain set exists, but that's probably one I'll never get.

I just got a bunch of these yesterday and was blown away by the quality. Where did you get your table top hex map btw?
@AshQuestАй бұрын
love this series of maps. The hex map is from League of Dungeoneers, a game I've unboxed but have yet to play.

This makes wonder how a skirmish game played with Heroquest rules would do. Would there have to be any adjustments made to play this way? I also wonder why Loke hasn't made a brothels and houses of ill repute book of battle maps.
@SenorKetchАй бұрын
Definitely a few adjustments for ranged weapons and spells that break with line of sight. For the latter, I would just set a turn limit

Thank god I managed to get their Town's and Taverns one a few months back. If they are out of print, no wonder I couldn't find this one. What is the region map on your table table during this video. Seen it a few times and was wondering which game it's come from. It's a lovely map.
@AshQuestАй бұрын
League of dubgeoneers, the neoprene mat that comes with it specifically.

Ash, why haven’t you written rules for Loke Quest? I would love codified outdoor encounter rules. Tired of winging it. And no published quests using these wonderful maps? You are slipping, Mr. Ash.😜 Heck, contact the company and do some cross promotion. You would be opening a whole new HQ audience for their products.

It's been a minute since I did a LokeQuest vid, but have all of the sets has reinvigorated me. Prepare for a series of 48x48 monstrosities.
@AshQuestАй бұрын
Oh for what it's worth, I've done collabs with Loke - the last video about the Cyberpunk set they sent me a lovely pdf and a vtt map to show in a preview (no physical proofs were available).
