I'm not sure where I went wrong in life, but there isn't a single car in those showrooms that I'd want. The car I'd swan around Dubai in, is that gorgeous Mercedes SL Pagoda in red. Not sure it would give me any kudos, but I'd feel a million dollars in it.

Most impressively no EV 50% discounting and not parked for years on airfield but in showroom. All investment machines. The dark green was the most impressive classy colour.

The 355 convertible on the street is a beauty. It looked tiny compared to all the rest. The Mercs looked rather hot as well. Great vid Geoff. Lots of shiny stuff.

Amazing. Shiny, bright colourful and glamorous. All looked like they only had ,2 doors, so not family cars. That was fun. Nice to see how well the kids fitted in. Also nobody questioned you being there or were in your face trying to sell you something.💯♥️ B

I noticed an Orange Defender parked outside the one showroom. That was one of the final made in Britain limited edition XV Defenders that you could get in that metallic orange and black colour or metallic grey and black colour. I bet there were some of the ultra luxury autobiography final edition versions out in Dubai as well.

Oh wow. Drooling 🤤 . What a collection of stunning cars. I must admit that my soft spot is for Lamborghinis having been treated several times by “Mrs. Nick” to a couple of supercar driving experiences - a Murcielago LP640 and then a Gallardo. Bloody brilliant 🤩 I’ve also driven supercharged Ariel Atoms twice, but the Lamborghinis are the ones for me.

That first Bugatti Chiron in black/purple is most timely ...... in the week that Jeff Beck's Oxblood 1954 Les Paul sold for over a Million pounds. If I had the money I know which I'd choose ..... it comes with strings attached !

All these lovely cars! Just remember, with most of these cars, changing simple items like timing belts is an engine out job! So I suppose, if you have to ask the price, you cannot afford one!

Isn't it pretty sick, the amount of wealth within that one showroom yet there's so many people who are struggling to live around the world. I grew up with vehicles so have a love for them too but the older I get, the more I think about this aspect too. Yes, I'd love to own/drive one but I couldn't afford to run one, the cost of brake disks etc alone.

I'm not saying they all look the same but there seems to be a Transformers theme running across all of them. They don't have the desirability in the same way that 70's 80's and 90's super cars had, they seem to be mostly coveted by people wanting status symbols these days or by people who think owning one will get them laid.

Was about to fly to Kuwait to commence a new assignment when they closed the airports. I ended up unemployed and homeless instead. I'll leave it at that. 🤬 I choose the F355 I nearly bought in 2014 when I was working in Saudi. It was £35k then. A sound investment. I bought a brand new lotus Elise instead. That I sold two months later. Both decisions being the worst decisions of my life.

I say a "bit" because 1 a bit of jealousy and 2 this holiday of his was my every day life. An eight year old Long adventure in various countries. You cannot imagine the anger inside towards the criminals that did this to me.

Things i Dubai is a bit over the top to be honest. I have a better and more grounded idea for an automotive road trip. Go to Classic Remise in either Düsseldorf or Berlin. Lots and lots of privately owned cars of all ages on display and garages doing maintenance or restoration work.

Realistically the only thing in there that makes any sense in the UK is between your favourite Ferrari and the Chiron - The motorbike, that might be a Ducati Lamborghini edition - seeing car's like these sitting in showrooms is depressing - it's just like visiting a museum - Look but don't touch and never get to experience them in the real world or enjoying the sounds they make - except on t.v. - how can so many supercars be just sitting in showrooms like this when all you ever hear about is year long waiting lists, as they can't make these car's fast enough to meet demand?
