I once went on a second date with a guy who insisted that we go that day. I asked him to postpone 4 times he guilt me into going. I had 14 hour shift and got my period, i told him Im very tired, i didnt eat and not feeling good. He insisted. After 14 hours of very fisically demanding job we went for pancakes, i went to toilet and when I returned to the table ge ordered me bitter cherry pancakes. After losing that much blood i just wanted chocolate with chocolate, i dont even eat cherries, he didnt even asked me what I wanted. So I stood there with 1% energy I had feeling weak on my feet, looking at that food he ordered for me without asking and left... i felt like he guilt trip me there and wanted just to have it his way. There were multiple reasons, but one of the biggest ones was, he was claiming to be too busy to talk to me. We were long distance, which I know some people think isn’t a good idea, but my first marriage was with somebody who was long distance and we made it work because we communicated with each other. This man claimed that his job made him too busy to stay in communication with me and he used being stressed out from work as an excuse to not talk about his feelings or any issues we were having. I was the one in the relationship that booked the flights to go see him in another state, despite the fact that I have a licensed professional job and he was doing factory work and being a service writer for a mechanic. Even his bosses said that they would give him time off to spend with me, but somehow he was always too busy. Whether or not he was entertaining other bitches, I don’t really care at this point. If a man wants you, he will never be too busy to reassure you. Full stop 🛑

I’m struggling with a good guy. I hope you never get involved with a truly toxic manipulator. I used to be like you. I never let men mistreat or disrespect me and I looked down on women who did. I was 40 when I met the man who nearly destroyed me. He was so wonderful in the beginning. And when the abuse started it was very subtle and escalated very slowly. It was like the frog in the boiling water. I didn't believe it could happen to me until it did. I just think we need to extend some grace to women who have experienced toxic relationships. Even if they did let their feelings cloud their judgement that doesn't mean they deserved the abuse or are responsible for the actions of their abusers. Believe me, they've been punished enough (much of it self inflicted). I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone. And while I still beat myself up about all the things I should have seen and done back then when it was happening, I DID learn my lesson. It would be real hard to pull the wool over my eyes nowadays. I'm so guarded I haven't even let a man near me since I escaped that hell a year ago and I'm perfectly fine with that 😊

My mother told me that when she first married my father, they nearly broke up in the early years,, issues with his gambling, prioritising his work and friends, her stopping her work and stuck with a new born. But she remembered her wedding vows and 58 yrs later they are still married and have had a wonderful life full of love and amazing memories. I've been married for 21 years. I read these comments and see these posts about couples divorcing for reasons that seem to be almost trival. Couples divorced because he played computer games, or didn't do enough house keeping, because she witheld intimacy etc. If you expect marriage to be a fairy tale then you shouldn't get married.

I didn't read it that way at all. I think the guy really liked her in the beginning then slowly started losing interest over time. But instead of being honest with her about it he pretended everything was great to avoid rocking the boat. He was probably on the fence about the relationship for a while but kept it to himself because he wanted to avoid a messy scene. A lot of men (avoidants in particular) would rather tell women what they want to hear to keep them placated while they work out their exit strategy, then ghost them so they don't have to deal with the fallout. I get that those kind of conversations are difficult but being discarded like that without warning really does a number on people. Yeah she would have been upset and cried and he probably would have felt like shit, but blindsiding someone because seeing their pain might make you "feel bad" is a dick move. He wanted everything to remain pleasant so he could keep enjoying all the benefits until the very end, then disappear and let her deal with the mess. And after he left her with a broken heart and serious trust issues he probably moved on right away and barely gave her another thought. I wouldn't be surprised if he already had another girl on standby when he rolled out too. In my experience men will say or do whatever gets them what they want in the moment with little to no regard for how it affects others. I hate that this girl had to learn that lesson the hard way but hopefully she learned it well.

This same ninja would do that laugh shit when I tried asking him serious questions. Mind you, he was 38/39 at the time. He turned 40 this year, and I finally got rid of his ass. And the other lady about a broke ninja 🥷🏾 who acted like they had money. Then they slowly start begging you for money 💰...it happened to me.
