i also can’t wait to see more characters of the academy fleshed out in the next book! i would love to see their interactions outside of the academy especially Emissa, Aequa and surprisingly Iro! this book needs so much more hype

The ending made me so mad!! I read this because of one of your videos a few months ago and did really like it, but wow what a cliffhanger. I think my favorite scene was in the coliseum. So many questions for book 2 to answer!

Yep. Awesome book! The Licanius Trilogy starts weaker IMO, but finished really strong. A lot of growth as a writer in that series. The Will Of Many starts off at full strength of that bat. There is a lot of set up in the Licanius Trilogy, but the character work and story telling of just worlds better by book three.
@mbranche42347 ай бұрын
Yes...I have moved up The Will of the Many on my TBR. Currently reading the Devabad series (City of Copper) but will interrupt the series to work "Will" in as an immediate read. Since "Silence" is a chunky book, it will be read later.

The wolf-like pup scene, I think, showed some of Vis' character as far as his integrity... I feel Vis is character who just comes from a place of already knowing what he was to be come as a man, as he was being trained to lead even as a small child. Also, I think a big difference between Vis and Darrow is that Vis grew up in this world... and boy, oh boy, am I excited to find out just where that last chapter is taking us next... yes questions... so many! 📖🥰📚

Hi! I absolutely looooved this book, felt like a kid again where i couldn't put it down 😄 definitely my favorite fantasy of 2024! I wonder which other books you would recommend to read that is similar to it? I know about James Islingtons other books and have already read Red rising series but I wondered if you (or anyone who reads this) would recommend any others? 😊

I can't wait to watch this! The Will of the Many was a 5 star prediction for me but for whatever reason I could NOT get into it! I tried many times, in many formats, on and off for weeks. I ended up just having to let it go but was really disappointed that it didn't click with me when I thought it would. That being said, as I read it I kept thinking "Tori is going to freaking adore this book, I just know it" 😂
@victoria96637 ай бұрын
I should say too that I plan on trying it again in a few years. This year has been one crisis after another for me and my family, and I have not been able to enjoy any books that are overly detailed or brutally violent. I had to quit Empire of the Vampire recently too (picked it up via your recommendation!) for the reason that I can't handle something that dark at this point in my life. I think in a different time of my life, when there's less personal suffering and darkness, I will be able to enjoy these darker books again.

I finally started reading it. I had to put Anathem down for a bit because that book is HUGE, and it's gonna take me a while to read it. Anyway, "The Will of the Many" has me in "can't put it down" territory so far (60 pages in). If it keeps up this pace, it's definitely going to earn a high mark from me. VERY gripping so far with the world and characters.

Just finished this today. Soooooo, there were definitely parts of this book where I was like, "Where are we going here, James??? Why is this book so long, James??”. But I stayed on the journey. And HOLY COW was the journey worth it. I get it now, Tori..... I get it now.

Ugh, Tori, because of you this will be my third time starting this book. Not because there is anything wrong with it, but because for me, everything is being compared to the Red Rising….. It all comes short. I’m not saying it in any kind of mean way, I have an enormous respect for all authors. I just feel that Pierce Brown has ruined fantasy for me. 😭
@ToriMorrow7 ай бұрын
Red rising is my favorite series so I feel you on this 😩 Some of these new books are definitely being done a disservice by all the RR comparisons when they’re so different. I hope you can get into TWOTM this time around because it’s incredible!

@@ToriMorrow Fiiiiiiiiiiine….. but the only only because I trust you ☺️❤️ I feel the same way about Empire of silence, I did manage to finish the first book, purchased the second and just had no desire to find out what happened next . That’s what Pierce does, he makes me feel so strongly about every character and everything that’s happening, I simply cannot put his books down, you know? All these other ones I have to talk myself into continuing. …. I’ll report when I’m done with these ☺️
