I had to read The Wind in the Willows in P7 over 60 years ago! How l needed you back then! You are a masterful storyteller! …. Only now l realise that many of the Water rats ruminations are outside the scope of a 10 year olds experience….so l have forgiven myself for being such a blockhead back then and trudging wearily through this lovely book! Dear Dawn Perez, Sorry you can't sleep....😢💤 Please consider 💤1 ) herbal sleep aids , I find Valerian (kalms, or Asda , etc ) very good ; 💤2 ) Self hypnosis recordings by Michael Sealey : he is my favourite by far , but there are many others ...;💤 💤 3 )Audiobooks : the site , " Down To Sleep " : has hundreds of books available. Their male reader is excellent ; he brings the text to life📖✔️📖😊. I have just listened to " The Wind In The Willows": the unabridged book is SO much more rewarding than the simplified version for children : Wide vocabulary, Perfect diction, No accent : What could be better ?! (..apart from messing about in boats 🚣🌫️😊) Best Wishes, 🇬🇧😊📖🦉💕🌿🎈🇬🇧

Wonderful! I have never before heard the original story, only abridged versions as a child. Don't worry about people telling you to slow your reading... KZbin gives us the option to slow & speed the play speed to whatever we like. I play this at .75 speed every night and it's perfect FOR ME, but may be too slow for others. You're doing amazingly well with keeping me falling asleep nightly!

Just discovered you! I always fall asleep with the tv on and sometimes my dreams include stupid things like commercials. Lol Music and waves are nice and all but I want to see what kind of little movie this will create (ocean sounds just make me sad that I don't live on the coast anymore. I grew up in a small beach town, 2 houses away from the sand. I literally cry when I think about the fact i could never afford to live on the beach again. Anyway) Oh- and lucid dreams! I've only had a few in my life but I'm pretty sure they didn't happen in a dish soap environment. And the way i wake up has a huge impact of course so I have time to reflect. I read this story when I was about 10 or 11. I loved it. Thank you for this :-)

This ends with a happy ending but not quite, in the movie toad gets plane mania and they’re all like “Not again!” But there is a Disneyland ride called Mr toad’s wild ride and it ends with a bad ending which is supposed to make you laugh and that is toad goes to wild and gets hit by a train then dies and goes to hell because on the ride your Mr toad. It makes me feel like I really am in the wind in the willows. This ride opened In Disneyland California in 1955 and got remodeled in 1983 and it’s only in Disneyland California, you know Walt Disney World had Mr toad in magic kingdom that I miss and lasted from 1971-1998
