When my Daughter was around 5 years old, my Mom pulled them out of the book shelf and read them to her when she would spend the night with her granny. It’s still my daughters fondest memory of her granny. I enjoyed this so much. It took me back to my pink bedroom when I first read it. 🥰❤️

I just read "A Long Winter" to my furry children. They seem to enjoy it. My mother alao read the series to us children in the 70''s and we quickly feel asleep so I missed ao much.😂 Quickly asleep, I missed all the educational details of life back then, each perfectly described process of daily survival. Laura Ingalls Wilder was not only a brave and intelligent woman, she was a pioneer , educator and historian. Thanks for your reading. It is well done. God Bless you.

Later as an adult, I read every bit of historical information on Laura that was printed including about anything about her married life or her daughter. I never thought to re-read these books until this audio book pooped up in my feed. I thought it must be too baby-ish to enjoy now in my 60's but I decided to listen to a little bit and now I am on chapter 5. I am loving this book again. This is the first time in a long while that I have felt safe, secure, and completely relaxed. ❤ This feeling of serenity is extremely rare for me. It feels good. Thank you for offering such a soothing, enriching respite through this lovely story.

You have the most soothing and relaxing voice I have ever heard. I have listened to this story ( it’s my favorite) many times by many readers but you are by far the best. Your soft voice made me pay attention to details I have missed the first 100 times I have listened to this book. Keep them coming . I have so enjoyed this!!

I found this and thought yes fall asleep to being read one of my favorite books and I stayed up til 1am listening. I know the story so well as I had read the entire series to my own kids as well as reading it when I was a kid but i loved having it read to me. Finally had to turn it off and turn on a fan to fall asleep. I love it!

I read these as a child but also watched the programme and loved Melissa Gilbert as Laura but all the characters were amazing. Laura was always my favourite however. You read it beautifully many thanks.

I was raised on a farm in the 60s and 70s. We raised and butchered our beef, pork and chickens. We could have gone to grocery store where we would not have a clue how these animals were fed or what they were fed. I still do the same as many other country families still do. For those of you who think this is cruel will be in big trouble when the grocery stores are empty as they almost were just a couple yrs ago!!! I urge you to learn how to do this as times are getting very dark. I was in Ukraine 13 yrs ago and every family was growing their own vegetables and their own meat.

Oh wow, I just LOVE this, Joanne! Sooo soothing! These books were my absolute favourites as a kid! I am shocked by how many details come back to me as I listen. I remembered the name of the doll Laura got for Christmas, I remembered the bulldog, I remembered the china shepherdess. I have fallen asleep to this twice and I am not even close to halfway done lol
