Ritchie kotzon fell off my radar back in the day,just discovered him 6 years ago..I was studying jazz in the 80s 90s and wasn't into the hair band and ballad type music Ritchie was playing

To be fair, Billy Sheehan is probably the best bassist around and IMHO Mike Portnoy is definitely the best drummer that ever existed. Some of his rhythms on John Petrucci's solo album Suspended Animation defies belief. BTW, I play guitar, not drums, so it takes a lot for me to say that.
