To be fair, Billy Sheehan is probably the best bassist around and IMHO Mike Portnoy is definitely the best drummer that ever existed. Some of his rhythms on John Petrucci's solo album Suspended Animation defies belief. BTW, I play guitar, not drums, so it takes a lot for me to say that.

Ritchie is so freaking awesome and underrated. He has so much great music solo wise and band wise. The Winery Dogs are three virtuoso players no doubt. Sheehan and Portnoy kill it no matter whom they play with!
