Don't know if you listen to HipHop but Cheese is played by Method Man from the legendary rap group Wu Tang Clan. At the time, he was the most famous person on the show but then Idris Elba and Michael B Jordan rose to superstardom. Also for reference, Cheese is the one Brother Mouzone shot in the shoulder at the Towers.

I will always love Season 4 for it being just as great as its predecessor and tbh that season highkey kind of put The Wire more out there. Season 3 however will always remain my number 1. Nothing else like it was on TV at the time. Possibly my favorite TV season of all time. Right up there with Season 4 of BB.

I think the first four seasons are all perfect and of similar quality. S4 is just the most accessible and emotionally gripping by virtue of being based around kids (it's like the opposite of 2), but I'd argue 2 and 3 are the strongest in terms of quality, personally.

To explain Avon gave Cutty a package of drugs to get him back on his feet as a gift to get him to work for him again. Fruit the guy who he asked to sell it, stole the package and pretended the cops came and took it. Cutty is one of the best characters in the season and the show you will love him.

Dennis "Cutty" Wise ..."Bunny" Colvin...Tommy Carcetti...Marlo Stanfield (he was the one who told his man to either shoot Bubbles or don't,but hurry .up,he had places to be) and Slim Charles. Five great characters brought into the mix in this season premiere. There's no such thing as a "bad" season for The Wire. It's just different levels of excellence,and for me Seasons 3 and 4 are the two most excellent. Season 4 for my money is the greatest season of television ever and Season 3 is a close 2nd.

Yessssssss my favorite season! Season 3 is one of the greatest seasons of TV. Period. It's also I'd say the most "action" packed of the five seasons. Watching this back in the day was unreal. It's also the season, for me at least, that made me realize I was watching possibly the greatest thing ever in life 😂😂😂 Swear this show ruined TV for me.

He had directed S02E13 Port In A Storm, it was his first directing credit. He was one of the core group that got the show off the ground and we all knew about his death going into season three but not how the show would handle it as he also portrayed Detective Ray Cole.

I'd love to believe the backstory yall gave Cutty . However, my perspective with them specifically saying he was a soldier, and how apparently his name rang in the streets back in the day is that he was a killer, aka a Weebay or Slim Charles, back in the day. But yall could be spot on and he coulda done everything BUT kill back in the day and got a reputation and when he got his first body he knew he went too far. To the extent that Norway is successful at prison rehabilitation, and it's not just a propaganda myth promulgated by advocates of their system, it is more to do with the low crime rate from the outset, and the culturally homogenous population. There is no criminal culture for ex convicts to sink back into, or to overwrite the mainstream culture and its values. The Norwegian underworld cannot invoke racial or cultural solidarity to keep its people loyal to them, rather than to decent society.
