Love The Wire. And I loved Felecia's character, Snoop. Nothing cliché about her at all. She was just another part of what made The Wire the best cop show to ever be made.
@TheWireFan-ur7wq9 жыл бұрын
Michael Iravani The Wire is not a cop show. CSI Miami is a cop show. Hawaii Five-O is a cop show. The Wire is a Gritty Urban Drama. With intelligence and great writing. Although CSI Miami and Hawaii Five-O were made with bigger budgets, greater camera technology and had a high paid cast. The Wire offered something much different and more real... The Streets...
@lancegoodthrust5469 жыл бұрын
TheWireFan2002 As a fast category , I alled The Wire a cop show. But I would NEVER lump it in with CSI or Hawaii Five-0 . And I think the show is deeper than a realistic portrayal of the streets. I hold up The Wire in the same regard as work of Shakespeare. The character development and story addicting.

She was always my favorite character from the Stanfield crew. She a little bit more cold blooded than Chris but not quite as smart. She was more like Wee Bay was to Avon while Partlowe was more like Marlo's Stringer. I still stand firm on my belief that Avon would have reclaimed West Baltimore if Stringer didn't set him up to be busted. Slim Charles had the whole Stanfield crew in his sights outside of the rim shop before Barksdale got busted. I just wish Michael would have given Snoop a pass and not wigged her. But it had to be done. I get it. I was hoping they would make a spinoff show about Michaels rise to power as all of Baltimore was up for grabs after the Co-Op fell apart.

Michael was trying so hard to uplift others, bring a higher meaning to his life. For it to end the way it did, him perhaps struggling to live beyond the Baltimore streets himself, was too tragic. A person needs to find meaning. Was he struggling to find work, to make a name for himself that went beyond his momentary fame in The Wire? I don’t know. All I know is that it’s a tragedy he’s gone. He was an obvious good man, someone who cared for people like “snoop.”
