If you like to plan and prepare consider the enhanced edition lazarus mod. It does make the game near impossible to play without oiling your blades, consuming potions and controlling toxicity for potions, poise for defense, stamina for offense and vigor for utility. It transforms the game completely which provides an insurmountable cliff for many new to the game but for old timers, they'll get a fresh challenge and a more brutal, unforgiving but rewarding world to relive.

so basically the context is witchers are monster hunters but are hated by everyone because they used to take unwanted children and turn them into witchers. current generation witchers dont do that anymore. this is the story of a witcher Geralt. in the past, geralt and his gf yenneffer were abducted by wraiths and lost their memory and geralt started relationship with another girl triss. now he has his memory back and he ended his relationship with triss. geralt's adopted daughter ciri has special powers and the wraiths wild hunt were chasing her to get her powers, she was in a secret exile but has now returned and in danger the south kingdom nilfgard (king emhyr) has attacked the northern states. but one cunning northern king (radovid) attacked his fellow northern kingdoms in the name of uniting the north and you can choose whose side you wanna be. Radovid kills and hates non humans and Emhyr only wants to expand his kingdom. also there are sorceresses in the games and they had formed a secret group to rule everyone but they got exposed and are now being hunted by all the kings. Geralt's GFs triss and yennefer are sorceresses too but were not part of that secret group. also southern king emhyr is the real father of geralt's adopted daughter Ciri. with this context i believe you will definitely enjoy witcher 3

Whenever I run into a bandit camp (which I love because there's a lot of loot you can sell later), I go for chemical warfare by taking a (Superior) Golden Oriole potion and filling the camp with (Superior) Devil's Puffball bombs. Pro tip: Dont use the "lock-on" option during combat, its trash
@josephdavis49562 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips. I was really hoping to find some advice for the slotted items and how to better use that but I still learned a bit. It's an extremely overwhelming game, especially when you just start and then accidentally scroll between menus, because then the game starts overloading you with all the information needed for that menus tab, but it's not what you were trying to do in the first place so you just skip it or pay attention as best you can with little success for the long run, and I'm an experienced gamer so to have that much difficulty is surprising. Anyways, thanks again.

Thanks for this. I am only a few hours into this huge game and level 3 I believe. It is confusing at first, but like most RPGs, it takes time to get familiar with the mechanics. I keep running into higher level enemies, but luckily you can run away to safety pretty easily.

Witcher 3 is my favorite game but it has got it's flaws. The most thing I hate is the loot system. There is so much loot everywhere in almost every container and yet when you try to craft that witcher sword you are missing an ingredient. There is always shortage of money which makes you think twice before buying those ingredients. I play on PC so I don't have these problems but I understand the frustration of ps players

Im a gamer and all, like I play hella games but I've never been into the whole making potions and crafting and shit, like I still play skyrim and elderscolls online with no potions or enchanting because I think stats shit like that is just bs like I just want to play games and find cool gear and have fun enjoying the adventure, not do math and have to try finding stat combos to be strong or even just survive or have to depend on a potions and momentary buffs, like that's stupid, let me level up or get abilities that keep me alive, not shit I got to scavage for and make a lot of so I can go and actually play, but I really liked the witcher show and love the type of world so ima just get good and study, it's too good not to just learm/condition myself to get use to, I just wish there was a way where I can just be raw without the potion nonsense.

I’m so conflicted. The Witcher 3 looks and sounds incredible BUT the inventory management, not only puts me off but seems massively time consuming and incredibly complicated. Then there’s the LOOT EVERYTHING and I hate having to boringly loot everything. Then have to know what to sell and what to keep. I’ve just never been so unsure about a game. I actually own it but keep putting off playing, because if it’s too overwhelming, too much inventory management and I don’t get on or don’t understand. I’ll just feel more annoyed, then i already am, just thinking about the game.

this game is actually very repetitive, use witcher sense, kill monster or go report what you found. It's a lot of the same thing over and over again, it does get boring after a while, especially when you consider the fact that you have to do those same exact things in the DLCs as well. Basically, use witcher senses, find clues, kill monster and report back for reward. It's very repetitive. I don't see how you would say it isn't. The story is great but very simple, find ciri, protect her from white frost so they don't get to use her power and that's pretty much it. The game is emerssive, you get attached to characters but I definitely would not say this game is the best ever, I do feel this is like the whole Batman being overrated dilema because it really is. This game is great, I like it a lot but it is very repetitive. As for the random events, they don't happen that often to say this would be a unique aspect of this game. I have recently gotten the Platinum trophy on the next gen on my PS5. Honestly, one of the most tedious trophies ever to get. Especially because of the death march trophy. You couldn't ask for a more long and tedious trophy in a video game, the 50 headshot kills with the shitty crossbow is evidence of this as well. In addition, when it comes to gwent, either you like card games or not, personally I enjoyed it but it is the same thing over and over again. After you get a powerful deck, it's all about horn cards and spy cards and that's all you need. Literally, repetition is a very strong theme on this game, yes, each contract has it's own little story and unique monster but it's always the same, witcher sense, find monster, kill and report. It couldn't be more repetitive. Last but not least, I don't get how people say this is the best open world game ever, the world looks awful and ugly, not to mention how ugly the monsters look. The only occasion where I actually liked how the world looked was on the Blood and Wine Dlc, other than that, everything is ugly with hanged corpses everywhere. This is the most overrated game of all time. It's a great game but it's not all that, definitely not. I will also add, Triss over Yen cuz Yen is a toxic B word.

ignoring alchemy i think especially mid to late game is just silly.the ability to chug decoctions and potions at the same time makes you extremley powerful.protective coating which negates about 50% of damage with the right oil applied is excelent.in terms of signs i think ingni is the best because of its burning effect which you can get to 100% if you put igni runes in your armor.you dont need quen unless you are fighting a particular boss or elemental because if you have good alchemy skills and good armor(bear school) you can just tank damage like crazy.in my opinion quen just slows the game too much especially the alternative version .also i think it is very much worth it to upgrade your potions to superior because they offer great bonuses like petri's philter giving you the ability to always cast signs to their fullest effect, white rattaff making you invulnerable for a while,golden oriole healing poison damage,thunderbolt appling ctitical hit always in story weather(crazy good for skellige)etc.

I think I'm playing a different game. The economy is broken in (in the bad way), I'm 10 hours in and I can't afford anything. Gwent is a nightmare. Done all the side missions in the first area and I'm still at level 4. All the other missions are either too high-level for me to take on (like the werewolf with 3 wolves one) or don't give more than 20-25 exp. Control input is awfully delayed, maybe it's because I'm playing on the Switch, but still. I can't find good weapons and / or I cannot wield them because of the level. I can't forge because materials like metals are rare and if I break something at the blacksmith's to obtain the materials I'll go out of money in seconds. I can't effectively sell either; a sword that costs me 80-120 coins I will be lucky if I find someone that buys it for more than 3-4 coins. And so on. I WANT TO like this game, but I don't get it. What am I doing wrong?
@imissmypeep22093 жыл бұрын
I'd say just stick with it. I have never played a game like this and it WAS overwhelming for me to say the least. Watch more videos like this. I watched a good handful of videos myself! I'm now 100hrs in and have what I feel like is WAY more coin than I can spend. I'm only level 30 because of all the side missions and questions marks to visit. Loot and sell. Loot and sell. I'm having a lot of fun now that I'm more used to how it all works. Also I have the game set on easy! Mostly because I'm not a big gamer and don't have the amount of play time I want or would need to keep dying and retrying. My only real complaints are the horse riding and the swimming. Also how slow the sail boats are lol. So yeah, keep watching beginner videos and go kill some monsters.
