The dark is cheap. I know what you mean though. That's the exact reason why I will never attempt to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre again, I can barely make out what I"m supposed to be scared of.

They are dark because ppl cannot write a good story, so instead of creating a tight script with good tension/conflict, they make everything dark as if that could replace real tension/scare. Even here: it starts with her running away and stopping to catch her breath panting - a couple of second of that is enough, but no, we keep getting her panting face from different angles - lots of time already wasted. Then, she’s running again and now she’s panting among Halloween decorations and some dirty sheets. More waste of time. We get it she’s scared of something. Get the action going, move the plot line along. But no. Now she gets inside the house and panting again. Whole five min in and not a single action, no plot line whatsoever, no story, no exposition of any kind -> the audience’s understanding of what is going on is even darker and murkier than their lighting. Then there’s a masked 1d!0t, still nothing scary; the overused cliché of having some horror movie on TV at the same time as the person is hiding/scared makes it even more boring. And having Romero’s iconic movie no less makes it even more cliché and yawn-inducing. The masked person keeps walking around - nothing scary whatsoever, some new faces etc. But still no key who/what/why/where/when - these are key to a great story. And the supposed "twist" of the seeming vict!m turning out to be the perpetrator is as overused as having Romero's movie on TV. A verdict: another mediocre poorly written pc of waste of time.

Hey Doug! Look out for an announcement soon…ish 😁 We finished our first feature, which is an adaptation of episode #4 called They Live Inside Us back in 2020. That one is available on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and a handful of of other platforms. We’re currently working on post production on our second feature called He Never Left. It’s going well, but have a ton of work left to do. That one should come out by Halloween 2023! 🤞

Best horror Anthologies: From a Whisper to a Scream, Freakshow (1984 I believe) and Necronomicon which was around '93. These are the best, tales from the Darkside and the Twilight zone movie were also good Anthologies. I'll give this one a chance but fancy cinematography and jump scares are just a modern fad. Jump scare movies are terrible, just to get the viewers and ratings/ box office stats they sell out every single movie I've seen since 2005. Freddy vs Jason was probably the last good horror movie unless you count Books of Blood which undoubtedly is terrific 💯 10 out of 10 but it's a Clive Barker so come on... Steven King- a lot of people are gonna hate me for this - has sold out, gone PG with the corporate mindset of pleasing the masses and appeasing the politicaly correct. Politics have no place in writing books and making movies. I'm no longer interested in Steven King
