I started watching the WNBA this year, along with most. And I really liked A'ja Wilson and many other players. Now? I can't stand about 80% of these W players. A'ja Wilson is the dictionary definition of exactly what is wrong with the WNBA. She has a hella unlikable personality, talking to her OWN players about "privilege," and everyone has to whine about A'ja and be mad any time she doesn't win something. It was obvious that she was the manufactured "MVP" in the pre season. It's just ridiculous. So much for a rising tide lifting all boats

I still can’t believe Phee never received 1 first place vote for MVP, she deserved at least a few votes. Phee would always lockdown Aja and outplay her every time they played each other. Phee had one of the best seasons ever, it’s even more impressive when you take into consideration she just recently gave birth to her daughter. I’m hoping the voters will become public in the future to make it more fair. If we’re going to be honest the only person that truly deserved a unanimous vote was Caitlin for ROTY and she still never got it. You know how things go in this league. Why didn’t CC get unanimous ROTY? Aliyah Boston got unanimous ROTY in 2023. Rhyne Howard received it in 2022 (not unanimous, NaLyssa Smith got one vote) There is absolutely no basis for Angel Reese receiving a vote. Absolutely none. NaLyssa Smith had a great rookie season but Rhyne was just better and still is. But Angel? Not a legitimate vote. I’d rather give the vote to Cardoso or Rickea but of course they didn’t come close to Caitlin’s stats in 2024.

When I started watching the wnba this year I heard Asa was mvp hands down from week one. Every time something nice was said about Clark somehow Asa was brought up if not Reese. So I finally watched her and was not impressed. She is physically superior to most of her competitors that have to guard her ok that’s fine but what I didn’t understand was how no teams treat her like they did Clark. Believe me if Asa had a defender put on her every step of the game she will freak out.

Before this season, I only followed the WNBA via stats because as a German, I wanted to know how Satou did. This year I bought a season pass because I wanted to see CC. So I knew all the players from the stat sheets, but never saw them play. After this year watching I understand the term the W has an A´Ja problem. She is (was) the best individual player in the league, but it isn't exciting to watch her play. That doesn't mean I think she is not good, it is just a little bit boring.
