I sincerely hope that AdHoc is aware of these videos or at the very least considering the ideas within them because they're brilliant. You've really thought of everything. I think, for Wolf 1, it absolutely nailed it's atmosphere. The music, lighting, graphics - perfect. But as a mystery/detective story it's the exact opposite. Bigby wasn't much of a detective (understandable given he's a Sheriff and more of a peacekeeper, he's no Sherlock Holmes). He never really puts two and two together, he just kind of just stumbles into things until the story resolves itself. Even at the very end no matter what you do, Nerissa basically steals the thunder from the player. It didn't really challenge players all that much or force them to think about the 'five W's' (who, what, when, where, why). I agree on not making the story too punishing, assuming the player just makes poor choices by following red herrings then there should still be minor clues or whatever for them to pickup from but I think I'd prefer having a 'bad ending' than allowing the player to 'win' by virtue of making it to the end. I also don't believe any detective game should be brute forced, though admittedly it's hard to make detective games that don't 'prompt' the player into making a choice or thought process that they normally wouldn't make because they're given an option they didn't think of. I also believe it's important to give the player time to think about how each piece of evidence fits together. Now that I think about it, giving players a sort of 'recap' of what they've learned throughout the episode at the end would help people to think about how all of it connects. There could be a new journal page at the end with new/old questions for the player to think about as they review the evidence. Usually there's so much going on in the game that it can be difficult to think clearly so having it at the end of each episode seems ideal. Okay I ended up going on way too long about mystery game design instead of this video but I really hope Wolf 2 plays similarly to this when it releases. Jukebox scene reminded me of Shaun of the Dead lol.

I gotta say I'd be pretty thrilled if the folks at AdHoc or the new Telltale saw some of these concepts I have made. I'm curios of what they would actually think of what I've made and if they'd personally agree with them. AdHoc crew is made up of some of the most talented people in the industry imo so if they saw one of these and said they enjoyed it or were impressed etc with these ideas that would really be awesome. And I agree with the detective work. Wolf 1 doesnt really challenge the player to put 2 and 2 together so I wanted to demonstrate the idea of having to make your own conclusions and making a choice, risking if your detective work is correct or not. I want to go more into detail about how I would exactly handle choices and failed detective work but I could go on forever. The biggest issue is simply because this is a narrative based game, so it makes a really really big challenge on how do you make sure the narrative is still somewhat satisfying if you're a player who is actually messing up at every turn. The challenge is finding out how to make that narrative still work even when the player cant get it right. A "bad" ending I wouldnt be that opposed to, but it would still need to have some sort of narrative completion. Best example I can think of is say Season 2 has this whole bad guy crew. Master being a detective, you bust all of them, everyone faces justice, maybe Bigby finally starts to get some recognition for his work. Now lets say the bad ending is you stopped the ring leader but everyone else didnt face justice because you did such a poor job, Fabletown's view on Bigby may even shrink due to how messy of a job he did. Obviously there'd be way more to that narrative and ending to tie the bow better than what I just described. But I'd rather have endings that cant truly be called the good or bad ending. I'd want multiple endings, endings that have their own tones and themes and segments the others wont have both with desirable outcomes and undesirable ones so that there cant truly be a good or bad ending. Just *your* ending. And I like your addition to the notebook idea. I was thinking of adding a scene of Bigby's office as you take files, notes, and photos to place them together to start forming theories but it was getting a bit complicated to keep adding to this. i LOVE how you added the smelling factor and the examination on the characters and objects. I thinks its canon in the story and game that Bigby smokes to help him not smell as much of the city since their are alot of places and people. I dont really know anything about animation, not now anyways, but i think the fight scenes was great for it being just an unofficial practice demo. In all, i honestly think you did a fantastic job. Keep up with it. Maybe they'll hire you.😏😍

There should be a man vs beast meter. Which tells you how brutal you were during the episode. If your beast meter is high then people will visibly fear you in the next episode. Only the ones who genuinely trust you (snow & colin) won’t be afraid.

Amazing concept! They had the free roam , over the shoulder camera and unscripted combat in the final season of TWD so I am hoping they something similar or even more with the wolf among us 2. The nose track element was amazing and truly hope they'll implement that. Telltale have amazing stories but they need better gameplay!

Man that would be cool to see these concepts play out whether ADHOC does them or not. Although to be honest it would be cool to have some more enemy variety than certain fables, such as mundies. I do agree the game should add more actual Detective work into the game similar to LA Noire or Sherlock Holmes games.

It really depends on the scope. This one took probably around 10 days from concept to finished but the more complex of a video the harder it gets. Ironically my latest video of the fan made TFBL2 concept trailer took the longest even though it is overall very short, taking about 3 weeks. So its kinda hard to judge, but I would say my average would be 7-10 days once I sit down to make them. And yes I make them by myself.

This is only a concept and shouldnt be that read into for narrative reasons. But to answer that the notebook is meant to have multiple pages for characters, I just didnt show Gren's, only BlueBeard's

I agree with all the changes proposed except the free combat. Combat almost never works in adventure games with rare exception. The action scenes in TWAU should be there for narrative reasons. Leave the gameplay based on puzzle solving and detective work.
