I saw the title "Because The Night" and thought "No freakin' way somebody did a cover of a Keel song", but lo and behold, it's a Keel cover. Unfamiliar with Ron Keel? He was the lead singer of his own hair band in the 80s, a cross between Dokken and Motley Crue, heavy on the power ballads. The most famous member is Marc Ferrari, the lead guitarist, very Randy Rhoadsesque, anywho, he was in Wayne's World as part of Cassandra Wong's band Crucial Taunt. (My head has far too much trivial info floating around) Check out Keel, The Right To Rock or Speed Demon are pretty good.

You need to listen to the original, it has a harder edge to it, Ron Keel has a voice that's like Blackie Lawless, not as deep but kinda gravelly, the dude can sing.
