Hugh Jackman was truly dedicated to this role because not many actors are willing to take on an atomic bomb blast. Most have their stunt double do it.

Good thing his healing factor working good since he took that trip to Chernobyl during production of the first Xmen movie to mutate his DNA, heard production was worried he was getting rusty with all that molten iron they pumped into his skeleton in Origins, method acting at its finest

Hope in the mcu they would find an actor who could be bulkier but shorter like the comics. At least not under 5 foot 3. Just 5'5 or 5'7 I'll be fine with that and as long as he is not over 6 foot tall.

It has been stated about how impressive his healing factor is but not only is it healing his burnt skin but his body is also healing internally trying to get rid of the radiation he was exposed to. @@mitromney The air has carbon and nitrogen so its not "out of nothing" also maybe his body stores energy and nutrients more densely than a normal human. As for his hair growing back to the same length, he was kept in a POW camp so he didn't get a shave. Meaning his hair was at it's fullest length. Your genes can control your maximum hair length. That makes no sense. 1 His bones are coated with metal. 2 If his bones were irradiated and couldn't regenerate how did the rest of him do so? Maybe the comic author meant radiated (as in contains radioactive material) but it still makes no sense because the rest of him would be too. These comic book authors want sci fi so bad, but don't even do the barest amount of research.

At Hiroshima, no one knew the A-Bomb existed. Nagasaki was only 3 days later. Several other flaws: 1) The atomic bombs were dropped from 10,000 meters and exploded about 1,600 meters. This gave the B-29s 40-45 seconds to get away from the blast & shockwave. 2) As depicted, there were only 2-3 B29s in each raid - too few to set off the air raid sirens.

Pretty unrealistic scene lol.. The dude would have been instantly blinded observing the flash. The dudes clothing would then ignite and he would recieve third degree burns instantly on whichever side was facing the blast. If we assume that he was shielding from the initial flash, hiding in that pit would only have saved him for a few hours to a couple days.. it was completely open to the air and that entire area was saturated with radiation. Zero percent chance of surviving that in his position. If the pit was sealed and they were able to close it before the blast wave reached them, and then somehow stayed down there for a minimum of a couple weeks without dying from dehydration, and then they somehow had full breathing apparatus and enough filters to last them the long trek out of there.. Then MAYBE

More like the worst. It takes 24 seconds for the blast to hit. Based on the actual Hiroshima blast propagation, that would put him maybe 9 kilometers away from ground zero. At that distance there was almost no damage except the occasional cracked window. And what is the rolling wave of fire supposed to be? The thermal pulse travels at the speed of light. The blast is only a wave front of compressed air

I think in the comics Wolverine explains that it’s not the explosion that hurts, it’s healing after it. He says heat from the explosion burns so quickly, that his nerves don’t register the pain. However when his nerves regenerate, he feels every bit of pain until he’s fully healed.

*Inaccuracies with this scene:* -panic at the sight of two B-29s (hundreds yes, but pairs of B-29s flying reconnaissance missions at become so routine by that point that the Japanese usually didn't sending fighter sorties up to shoot them down -air raid sirens during the attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki (none were sounded for the reason I just mentioned) -the Japanese freeing their prisoners (POWs were regarded as completely expendable and murdering them on flimsy or even non-existent excuses was a common occurrence) -Yashida not being blinded (likely permanently) from staring directly at the flash -Seppuku usually involves two people, one is the guy disemboweling himself, the other chops his head off so that he dies quickly *I know it's an X-Men movie but I figured everyone should know*

probably 30+ minutes, any longer and yoshida would probably be at risk of having significant radiation poisoning. The worst of the fallout tends to happen around the 2 hour mark once things have had a chance to cool down and fall out of the atmosphere. Things that dont make sense about this scene: 1:Why would Logan save a random IJA soldier? These guys were arguably as bad as the Nazis in regards to civilians and prisoners. 2:How did he know about the B-29? It was a secret project (weird fact , it was more expensive than the manhattan project) 3:The officer used a mass produced katana to break the lock with one cut. These swords were not hand made by a expert japanese swordsmith. They weren't sharp like that. ( I actually own one of the mass produced swords ) 4:How was the blast hot enough to burn off his skin but not set his pants on fire? 5:It seemed he was aware that they were going to drop a nuke. The nuke was top secret as well as its targets. 6:Logan was at D-Day in the film and comic canon. How did he end up in Asia so fast? 7:That B29 is flying awfully low to deliver a nuke. 8:The initial flash from the nuke would have blinded anyone looking at it from that range Things that piss me off about this movie: They lied to the director and turned his rater R movie into a PG13 mess to make more money Part of studio interference was turning Yoshida into a CGI robot silver samurai fight This movie felt like Joss Wheadon's Justice League, you can clearly see the director's vision clashed with the studio's wishes and we got a frankenstein film as a result This is the same director as Logan. If they let the director have his way with this movie this flick would have ended up very very good and a hit but slightly worse than logan (the screenplay for logan is up there with the dark knight, its really hard to top)

The Japanese were developing crazy weapons even around this time so capturing logan shouldn't be that impossible, D - day was in 1944 and this is 1945 + Japan isn't far from Logan's history in the comics. @@grandcanyon-fu9zt highly unlikely to be deployed in both europe then the pacific. There was no way for him to know that what was coming was a nuke.
