What makes this procedure feel infinitely more painful is that assuming adamantium works like most metals then it would mean that it was kept at exceedingly high temperatures in order to maintain its liquid state for when it is applied to Logan's skeletal structure. That's molten metal being injected into his body and cooling off right then and there.

From what i've read about it, Adamantium in the comics is mixed separately and has to be cast/used within 8 minutes or it can't be used again due to losing its molecular properties even if re-melted. And it's also very hard and rare to make.

Apparently x-24’s skeleton may not completely be made of adamantium, requiring the green serum you see in “Logan” to fully heal him after heavy fights. He had the claws from birth, as one of his mutations, they are made of bone. From X-Men #75 and Wolverine 25 where Magneto pulls the adamantium out of his body, that is where this fact is discovered. Without the adamantium, they can be broken, but they regenerate. FYI, if you want a really good read on the whole process of what was done to him, find and read Wolverine: Weapon X by Marc Cerasini. This movie shows and explains so little of it, and they do it so badly. The book is based on an actual Marvel comic story arc, and is incredibly detailed.

A question that I haven't seen asked before: how does Logan doesn't die from blood loss? New blood cells are created inside the bones, at the marrow, but with the adamantium coating the bones completely, and is not a permeable matter, no new blood cells would be released into the body, and with the average red blood cell lasting between 3-4 months, Logan can't replenish his blood cells anymore. And I haven't lost any sleep over it, just trying to see how deep I can poke at a story's universe & rules until it starts breaking down.

It doesn't inhibit normal bone functions due to them occurring constantly by way of said Healing Factor. He's the only known existence of the Beta variant. His entire existence with Adamantium in totality is owed to that Healing.
