I was at the Big House when Steve Everitt's chin strap came loose when he was hit by an opposing player and he broke both of his jaws. It was the worst injury I have ever witnessed in 40 years as a season ticketholder. He had both jaws wired up and they gave him a special helmet and he was in there the next week! Moreover, I remember his family's home was destroyed just weeks earlier in Homestead FL by a hurricane. He was tough and led by example! Our OL including Doug was excellent in that era and the results showed! We need that old school coaching and intensity! Go Blue!

In my humble opinion, this is his biggest head coaching priority to address these issues that continue. Him not doing so, is a major red flag for him as a head coach. He does not appear to be a head coach with a job on the line, no fire, no fire. Great points, lost, dejected. His job fix himself in his role, then apply pressure to other coaches and players.

I fear that Moore won't make any changes to this coaching staff or roster between now and next year! I say that for several reasons: 1. Moore himself was handed this job without the qualifications. 2. He promoted guys from within with the same problem. 3. He continues to make the same excuses every week for the same problems that he obviously doesn't have answers for. 4. He didn't see the red flags before the season started. 5. He's too loyal to his coaches and won't get more involved in the play calling. 6. He's not the same guy we saw last year! Where's the passion? Where's the enthusiasm? Where's the energy? Warde Manuel is gonna have to force change! Otherwise, we're back to 2020 all over again. Btw...Bryce Underwood won't fix it by himself!

Absolutely agree. He hasn’t been in this position and lacks the spine at this point to “make the tough moves.” Clearly leadership includes doing the hard stuff or risk losing control of the ship and the morale/following of the top players who will leave the sinking ship!

I'm also terrified Moore will end up making no changes or if he makes changes, one of them won't be Campbell or Newsome. Those are the two guys that MUST go. I'd add BJM and Wink to that list. I'd much rather have a young DC who is a plus in recruiting. Wink isn't good enough to not be a major asset in recruiting.

Do they have ONE coach that is worth keeping at this point? I really think this goes back to Warde giving this job to a person with zero years as a head coach and one year as a lead coordinator. It is apparent that Moore is not ready and he will not be any more ready next season so why waste another whole season before you correct your wrong Warde?

Starting to really wonder if Harbaugh just micro managed the crap out of his teams . He loved to step out of the spotlight and give credit to other coaches and players . But maybe he worked extensively with some of these struggling groups , and was even mroe instrumental in their rise then anyone realized . And now that he’s gone and these position coaches that we thought were great , are floundering without him . Or maybe it’s as simple as sherrone Moore was a great o line coach and that’s all 🤷♂️
@paulday57222 ай бұрын
Getting inside IU's 5 yard line and settling for a field goal twice was the difference in this game. Not putting Mullings in either time is inexcusable. Is it just me or was Edwards open in the flat at least a dozen times? That's an easy throw for 5-10 yards each time but Warren kept forcing downfield passes to covered guys. His decision making is still very shaky.

Two possessions 1st and goal, and no TD??? if the O-line cannot established the dominance in the line of scrimmage, and push their D-line into the end zone, even if we had Blake Corum in the back field, the results would be the same. What I cannot understand about today's teams that is significantly different from years ago: padding. The helmets are one thing, a lot of work goes into making them safer for the players, which is good. However, where did the legs and hip padding go? It seems like nobody wears knee pads, thigh pads are thin, hip and tailbone padding is a thing of the past, and there are no forearm or elbow pads, either. (When was the last time you saw a player wearing a cup, for crying out loud!! Does no one protect their junk anymore?) Yet, injuries are on the rise.

I think all the QB flip flopping nonsense really set back this OL. Expanding the playbook for the DOA Orji package, taking away practice time that could otherwise be used to help this OL for the Orji Package, has been a major misstep.

If the O-line is the biggest disappointment on this team, the QB position is a very close second. Warren doesn’t have what it takes athletically and otherwise at least at this point, and Orgi is so limited that he is just getting lit up and has become a turnover machine. I would nominate the coaching staff, however, as the most disappointing aspect of this team. I’m disgusted with them. We need to clean house and get some competent coaches.
