I do agree with you slightly on what you mean but no one really knows how the these woman were trained as the last possibly trained Ajodie is really old and has forgotten most of the training. She was talked about when The actress who played Nakia on Black Panther did documentary about these woman since so much of Black Panther and Dora Mijge is based on The kingdom of Dahomey.

@@Doc-hp5wf Well #1 The film is not about the Dohomey vs the French it's about the Dohomey vs the Oyo. If you want some history: In 1823, when the film’s action takes place, the British had already abolished their slave trade, and were putting pressure on West African states and European and American countries such as Portugal, Spain, and Brazil to end their own. Brazil had declared independence from Portugal in 1822, but continued actively importing enslaved Africans, including from Ouidah. Meanwhile, Dahomey had been paying tributes to the Kingdom of Oyo since 1748. In 1823, under Gezo’s rule, Dahomey fought a war against Oyo and eventually succeeded in ridding itself of the tributes. This is the action that’s portrayed in the film.
