This is hidden history, the contributions of women to Notre Dame. Notre Dame was so beautiful to behold when I visited there, before the fire. I am glad to be of French heritage. I want to travel to France again with my children. I love the sites: Versailles, Louvre, Eiffel Tower, etc. I remember I was in the Metro station during my vacation. American tourists that were elderly, were trying to find someone to help them with directions. The French are proud of their language and prefer you speak French in their country. I helped them with directions in English and showed them which Metro to ride to a particular tourist site. Then I thought, I could see myself living in France permanently, lol. 👍🏼🇫🇷☺️

Although the fire was devastating and horrible - I think this has given the world and - especially these men and women the perfect opportunities to safe Notre Dame for many many more centuries to come! And for my own opinion about it they all together have made a gorgeous and wonderful work and miracle with it! The “Forest” of the roof was rebuild using oak. There is no metal except the scaffolding still in situ because the exterior is still under reconstruction.
