In this video of the Car Wash Chronicles I am sick and tired of this bad patch of concrete so I finally decided to dig it up and fill it in with concrete in order to make it brand new again. Enjoy!

Concrete repair 101 first cut it square with a floorsaw second step is use a jackhammer to break it up once done the cut your rebar to length and drill holes and epoxy the rebar into the remaining pad then use a concrete mixer to mix your concrete but before pouring first wet the area to be fixed and brush concrete glue around the edges then pour you concrete . next use a straight piece of wood to screed off the concrete then finish float it and besides cones use barracaide tape around the cones to delimit the work zone .

100% agree, was just thinking about typing in the same. Also, maybe break down all the broken down patches and get a concrete truck out there and fill it up all at once, where I am at, it's always cheaper and the finish is way better (plus no mixing errors). It's a huge thing as far as curb appeal goes, always cut it out square. I would also stamp down the dirt/sand/gravel where it cracked, because cracking is always an issue of the ground under the concrete.

I forgot: Don't patch anything on the surface which is under a few inches thick - it will not hold up. They use sand filled epoxy stuff for those surface blemishes, on a pretreated surface. Cut it out and pour it new. And: after finishing pouring, and after the surface is not soft anymore, coat the top lightly (don't wash it out) with water and put a sheet of plastic over the whole concreted area to keep the moisture in. This is very important for hard, quality concrete. You should NOT "dry it out", this will weaken your concrete by a lot

Lastly: Plan everything out on all your car washes. Let's do it once and for all: Rent a bobcat with a jackhammer attachment, maybe one you can tow on a trailer with your truck. As @dvljet said, get a floorsaw with a diamond blade, chalk the squares on the floor up before, if the diagonals are equal it's square. Heck you could also use a large angle grinder with a diamond cutting wheel, it's just more work. Then cut it up with the jackhammer, and dig it out with the bucket. If there's any loose ground dig it out quick and backfill it with sand for example. Stamp everything down real good, that's the secret. Just rent a jumping jack! Then follow with the work as said before. The way you did this is better than nothing, but all the edges will break first, than the rest will follow and in the end it will probably look the same after only a few years. All the best

I’ve never done concrete repairs but wouldn’t it make more sense to put the dry concrete into the hole and just water it down with a hose? It seemed like a lot of u unnecessary steps
