Welcome back! Glad you're safe from the fires! People don't realize how massive the fires are out there, and how widespread the damage has been. Sad situation and just absolutely devastating. Glad to have you back on here - We've missed your content!

I own one car wash in Normal, Illinois. Did a full rebrand, repaint, and just working on bringing it back from the brink of being a dump! So far so good, if it wasn't so COLD!!! I'm so jealous of your warm weather all year... Freezing temperatures add an incredible element of difficulty when you're in the business of water, moving parts, and electricity!

Yuma needs your help. Went to a 8 Bay, what a joke and piece of crap. Bad brushes, 6 selection, great pressure, poor lighting, bad signage etc.

Never weld on galvanized directly. Causes a very poisonous gas! Get bullet hinges next time. Much cleaner if you are going to weld anyways

How is Johnny doing now? And, probably a silly question, but did he get a loan to fix it up, and if so, how did he get one after only having it not even a month? Thank you for any info!

would love to own a carwash...watching to learn and hopefully take that plunge.. worry the automated ones are the future and taking sales from self serve
@CarWashChronicles11 сағат бұрын
That is a concern for many. I had 2 automated tunnels up within a mile of me and today I had cars waiting to use my bays all day so havn’t seen any problems with that.

Hello id like to ask how much it costs to fix a self serve car wash hose since mine got pulled out bh a trailer but it seems fine
@CarWashChronicles11 сағат бұрын
Depends on the damage. Is the boom ok? If it’s just a fitting that broke in the boom can take that out, put new swivel and attach the hose. Usually $10 for a swivel but car washes are built differently so not sure how yours is.
@You-so2jy11 сағат бұрын
@CarWashChronicles turns out the ring that connects the hose and pipe was the only thing that broke so no biggie thanks though

My go-to self-serve was overrun, had to wait like 10 minutes in the entryway to get a spot and be quick to not have people wait......The owner is surprised too theres so many at like -2 degrees celsius......
@CarWashChronicles16 сағат бұрын
They must be doing it right being that busy. Thats the goal
@stevenwinderlich289115 сағат бұрын
@@CarWashChronicles Hot and cold wax, tri-colored foam, hes not cheaping out on chemicals, fair prices you can wash for 4 - 5 Euros even bigger cars, lockers for rent, floormat cleaning machine, UV-based chemicals and UV lights in the bays, 1 pretty new vacuum the others will be replaced sometime, vending machine with drinks and snacks, bill changer obviously, 200 kW charging stations are being built right now with 5 LED floodlights, the chemicals are modified by the owner himself, the wax has a foam killer in it, the foam consists of a plain dirt remover an insect remover and a booster depending on the color it also puts a protective film on the paintwork as protection for the brush also helps the brush to stay clean. Brushes are replaced half-yearly no matter how good or bad they look....... Handwashing is allowed, own chemicals are allowed.

Happy New year Chris! I'm a machinist and it would definitely help with longevity to use WD40 on that drill bit when boring into a hard steel like that. I am not an owner yet but I'm headed out to look at a Car Wash this afternoon. Your videos have been very informational and inspirational. This is Pedro from Texas. We spoke a few years back on the phone. Good to hear that your family wasn't harmed by the fires!

I switched my mechanical vendors to accept my tokens instead of quarters, since I only dispense tokens. Reach out to me know if you would like to know how.
@@meticulousdetail5140 In my experience, with my car was, it does 3 things. 1. Reduces vandalism and theft. 2. Retains customers by them taking tokens with them that they didn’t use, and they come back to wash again. 3. Instead of people coming to just get change (quarters) for their money. If they walk away with a token I spent $0.17 on. I still have the dollar they traded for it.

I promise I won’t ever wash my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited with the lift kit and big all terrain tires at home In my life no matter what and I also promise I won’t ever Wash my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland with the lift kit and big all terrain tires at home no matter to because I don’t like washing my 2 Jeeps at home because it’s expensive for me to wash my 2 Jeeps at home because it’s too tiring. I promise I’ll wash 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited with lift kit and big all terrain tires here at the do it yourself car wash forever no matter what and I also promise I’ll wash 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland with lift kit and big all terrain tires here at the do it yourself car wash forever no matter what to because it’s cheaper for me to wash my 2 Jeeps all at once here at the do it yourself car wash in my opinion because it’s convenient and it’s fun because less tiring for me to wash them here at the do it yourself car wash. The only thing I would wash my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited with the lift kit and big all terrain tires for free at is at very do it yourself car wash that I want to open up someday and my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland with the lift kit and big all terrain tires to that I’m going to buy as my second Jeep after I buy my do it yourself car wash first that I’m going open up someday. I don’t ever want to wash my 2 Jeeps at home in my life no matter what because it’s not worth it because it’s not practical for me to wash my 2 Jeeps at home because it’s Inconvenient because it’s too tiring for me compared to washing them at the do it yourself self car wash. I would avoid washing my 2 Jeeps at home forever in my life no matter. Because I don’t like it.

I would avoid washing 2015 Jeep Wrangler 4 Door with the lift kit and big all terrain tires at home in my life forever and I would also avoid washing my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland With the lift kit and big all terrain tires at home in my life forever to because it’s too tiring for me to wash my 2 Jeeps at home because it’s cheaper for me to wash my 2 Jeeps here at the do it yourself car wash in my opinion because it’s less tiring for me to wash my 2 Jeeps myself at the do it yourself car wash. Washing my 2 Jeeps at home myself is expensive in my opinion because it’s more tiring for me than washing my 2 Jeeps at the do it yourself car wash. The only way I’m going to wash my 2 Jeeps myself for free is at my very own do it yourself car wash that I’m going to open up some day.
@George-s4w3e5 күн бұрын
I’m never gonna wash my 2 Jeeps at home ever in my life because it’s cheaper for me to wash my 2 Jeeps all at once here in my opinion because washing my 2 Jeeps at home is expensive to me because it’s not as fast as washing them at the do it yourself car wash because washing my 2 Jeeps at home doesn’t have as much power as washing them at the do it your self car wash because washing them at the do it your self car wash has more power than washing them at home because washing them at home is not as efficient as washing them at the do it your self car wash. washing cars at home is a waste of money in my opinion because it doesn’t have as much power as washing them at the do it yourself self car wash. washing cars at the do it yourself car wash is cheaper for me because you don’t even need to fill up a bucket with water and soap because the soap comes out of the high pressure spray gun and the foam brush soap comes out of the brush. The only thing I would wash my 2 Jeeps for free at Is at my very own do it your self car wash that I’m going to open up someday because me washing my 2 Jeeps at my very own do it your self car wash is free to me because I can keep getting my coins back out of my machine left and right and putting them back in my machine again again again. If I own the do it your self car wash I can just simply use my keys to unlock the coin drawer on my machine of my own car wash and I can just keep taking my coins in and out of my machine to wash my 2 Jeeps for free as an owner at my very own do it your self car wash that I’m gonna open up someday. I’m not even paying myself to wash my 2 Jeeps as an owner in my opinion at my very own do it yourself self car wash because I can just keep using my keys to open up my coin drawer on my machine to retrieve the coins back and keep putting them back in again and take them out. that goes the same way for me with dollar bills and debit cards/credit cards as an owner. I’m going to avoid washing my 2 Jeeps at home forever in my life because washing cars at home is not worth it. It’s so much better to wash cars at the do it yourself car wash because I like the machine controls.
