While this is true I believe the reason he may have gotten this injury was not only due to fatigue but due to overuse possibly of a single type of of bench press method. If you always use different variations you are less likely to face an injury. The key to having muscle growth is overcoming the biological law of accommodation. If you continously use a single sort of training stimulus. You will get fatigued. You will get weaker. So the key to musclebgrowth is also getting the science behind weight lifting :)

Nah more reps is better for muscle growth and aesthetics Go strong for strength
@gtrrohit50782 жыл бұрын
@@primetate303 That is black and white thinking. you should be doing all rep ranges, from a 1 rep max to above 10 reps to maybe even above 20. Do you think that if you progress to bench a heavier weight your chest would not get bigger? the ability to lift a heavy weight for even one rep means you are guaranteed to have put on size.

If you want to use a proper weight for lifting, make sure the exercise is challenging, but not hard enough that you’re compromising your form
@aidey8mph6052 жыл бұрын
I ran into trouble with that before. When I didn’t consistently workout I would sometimes get inspired to do some push-ups. I would hurt my shoulder pretty much every time. When I started working out consistently I started off with “kneeling push-ups” just to strengthen my shoulders because my arm muscles were fine but my joints weren’t ready yet. This can cause frustration with a lot of gym beginners with not being able to do certain exercises.

Man timing of this video is scary. I literally injured my lower back during my warm up sets of RDLs, causing me to have to skip half my workout as my lower back was in sharp pain. The following day I could barely walk, even wiping my ass was incredibly difficult (lol). It wasn't due to poor form or anything, but similar to yourself the warning signs were there for weeks as my lower back was feeling tight. Had to take the remainder of the week off which sucked as I love working out and feel like bum when I don't!

Deload every 8-12 weeks really helps, currently I'm doing 8 week heavy training then 1 week deload and every time I start a new 8 week block I feel much stronger and ready to go again. People should know as well, deload week doesn't mean staying home and not lifting. Go to the gym but cut back your days, 3 days with a push pull leg split is ideal and when at the gym you should only do 2 sets with 3 reps each at your current weight for each exercise. Your progress won't be slowed by anything noticeable but you might just prevent an injury that could set you back months.

Wish I heard this 6 months ago. Pulled a muscle in my quad connected to my hip and just kept playing football through it. Played on it for 2 months, the seasons ended, and I took a week break to "recover". After a week, nothing had changed but I decided to try out for my school's track team. Immediately, things didn't feel right and I could barely lift uo my knee. Another injury took me out for a month but I decided to keep resting to heal my hip. I had gotten an extreme overuse injury, and still recovering. After finally dropping my ego and going to a physical therapist, things have been looking better. Just taking it day by day and have made some progress. Now, I've learned many, many things about longevity and not overtraining to prevent something like this ever again and hopefully help other people in the future

I had something similar happen to me a few years ago when I was doing 5x5. I loved seeing the weight go up every week, but eventually got to a point where I had to be honest with myself that my form was suffering and that if I continued I'd start to hurt myself. My recoveries were already suffering, and so it was my cue to change things up. Since then I've changed workout routines a few times, but that lesson has stuck with me. Yes, looking good is nice, but it should be aligned with actual health.

Same happened to me. But what happened was I always kept increasing the weight by a tiny little bit with only 1-2 rest days a week and eventually I got really sick (was overtraining, I had that multiple times) , and now after more than a month I'm only back to my old weights. Threw me off a lot. Now I'm only ever going 2 day in a row with a rest day with a rest day after that and I fucking feel better than ever and I progress way better. More is not always better guys, 4-5 times a week is really all you need. Of course also depends on the split. Doing PPL and even decided to take out 1 Exercise from each day because I was feeling very tired after each workout. Feel like now I've optimized my plan. You still learn so much I realized recently even though I've been on the fitness journey since I was 15 (23 now) Take your time to recover Hamza and don't let your ego convince you that you NEED to go train of you've felt fatigued the last days. A restday more is way more efficient than taking a week or more off because of injury.

This is clearly an accountable person Great to see it Maybe if you don't feel it too much you should just reduce the load to avoid any issue like this next time

David Goggins also emphasizes the importance of stretching in his book. A lot of injuries are caused by lack of stretching. It's highly undervalued. That's something everyone with similar experience should take into consideration.

For real this is so apparent in gyms, it's like bruhh it helps nobody. & it's important to strengthen the bottom of the spine a lot maybe even more so in the beginning

Good Video as always! I just want to add something to the topic about pressure on man to get fast stronger! 3 months ago I always had the mindset that when I get ill I‘ll loose all my gains and my friend s will get better than me and I put so much pressure on myself that it really made me feel depressed! But luckily since 2 months now I was able to change that mindset! I told myself that I will reach some goals in this powerbuilding sport in my life and that I‘m not a professional with other competitiors so now I‘ma able to really enjoy going to the gym and also enjoy time outside the gym! And I think that‘s what this lifestyle is about. Enjoying your life and fulfill your goals and get better under a good amount of pressure!

Started watching ur vids and doing healthy things whereas before I would just play video games for hous on end. I went to the gym for the first time on Wednesday and strained or tore my bicep tendant or something, hurts so bad haha but I'm motivated to go more and keep up my meditation and lifelong dopamine detox.

This happened to me too once. rear delts were weak at that time.. when unracked the weight ready to bench my left shoulder kind of popped 😂😂 and went back the same place.. scared the shit out of me for some time but i just needed to do more rear delts.. the pain went away in 2 days..made my delts stronger and stronger😈😈 now i be benching good.. Moral- train ur rear delts and upper back for stronger bench and stability
