If you are being sarcastic in your comment and you knew this then I apologise for stating the obvious, if you wasn’t then you should pay more attention to what you’re watching and take in all the information given to you via the film and process it a bit better, this would give you a better understanding about the film

Tony Wilson was a visionary and a hero. Fair play. Credit due. The Roses though.... on that other side of midnight show. If you could bottle that.... its just obvious their time had come... they look and sound incredible. They knew it. So different. So ready. Its effortless, not forced or contrived. There is no media machine driving it. It had to happen. Glorious.

I've got a mate who said I went back to the studio with Ian Brown and we was making tunes and smoking blunts and we was like yeh right yer dick course you did. He just took the shit and 5 month later he said oh I got those pics done from that night of me and Ian that night in the studio and when we saw them we was like fuck lol - I can send proof as well as I still have a copy of the best pic.

Ian Brown is such an interesting character, very talented and charismatic but without being big headed. I have been listening to a lot of his stuff recently. F.E.A.R remains one of the best songs of the last 20 years. Stellify and First World Problems being my other faves. As a fellow Pisces I think he is complex and brutally honest yet remains true to himself. Top bloke!

I met him at an Audioweb gig in Liverpool Uni in the mid 90's. He was approachable and spent a good half hour in our company. There were only about 30 people at the gig and Ian was one of them. Yes, First World Problems is a fine tune.

not sure about influential, more influencED. you can see the smiths in there and morrisey’s on stage persona. the idea of bringing acid house into mainstream with a band? hmm we already had that with sgt pepper. using dance rhythms in rock? well we already had that with the likes of new order and depeche mode. the attitude and message? we had that with the jam and pistols good band deffo but not sure the ott lauding as the most influential band of recent years is justified.
