I'm a 19 year old transhumanist/futurist, I'm currently writing a sci-fi novel about political conflicts in a utopian smart city in the year 2090, so it have all of this 2050 tech, and a lot more, like molecular manufacturing and programmable matter. loved your channel! I really liked that you placed sci-fi movie scenes, most futurism channels prefer to not show it, instead placing real life concepts or just animation sequences. I think it's more imaginative when it shows sci-fi scenarios. So, that's it, I'm suggesting a programmable matter video. I thinks it's one of the most forgotten futuristic tech in media.
@FutureBusinessTech3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your suggestion, Henrique. Programmable matter is one of the concepts that most intrigues me and I will definitely cover it in some future videos. It's great that you specifically stated that a smart city will be a major part of your book. The world could literally "come to life" in your book depending on how your approach it. I also recommend the multi-part Cyberpunk Documentary series by Indigo Gaming to get more ideas for your book: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaXXnmuHbteCmrM.

I can see Faster Than Light travel being discovered by 2050 in either the most unlikely way...or through a rewrite of a fundamental law of physics...maybe we will figure out how to use and /or create / or move space similar to the expansion of the universe.

Hi! My English is pretty bad, I know, but I have something to tell you. I Discovered that, AI's don't realize what is real and what is not. Artificial intelligence don't recognize movies and real world! It's not just about to recognize what is bad and what is not. Artificial intelligence don't understand that machine can't live without people. Machines need to learn like a normal people. When you're connecting them to the network, they are able to see every thing! We must realize, how many things are in the deep network. Word "artificial", is misunderstood in their "mind". People should know about that! Pray for the peace!

I have been waiting my whole life for ‘the future’ and had started to think that I was just a generation (or two) too early for AGI, flying cars, robots, BCIs, VR/AR, bionics and artificial biology, life extension, space travel and colonisation. I now have hope that I could see these technological wonders in my lifetime and might even achieve post humanity and biological immortality or have my consciousness uploaded to a virtual afterlife. I will be 85 in 2050, so it might be a close call, but the possibilities exist and ideally I could live a ‘natural’ lifespan, with all the weaknesses and insecurities of a technologically primitive existence, then experience the post human utopia within the context of knowing what it means to be a ‘mortal’. I might have been born at exactly the right time. Such an exciting time to be alive. 🤖

If pretty much all jobs are done with robots. How is the average person supposed to make money to live or afford anything?
@FutureBusinessTech3 жыл бұрын
From the perspective of how this will impact the average person, that's where things get truly complicated. There are solutions being proposed to mitigate the effects such as Universal Basic Income. However, that solution is somewhat divisive and some people are concerned that this isn't a sustainable, long-term solution. What happens if the government distributing payments undergoes financial hardship? Web 3.0, Web 4.0, the Metaverse, Decentralized Autonomous Organizations, organized systems of NFTs, etc. could allow more opportunities for partial ownership of digital assets, online entrepreneurship, and profitable expressions of creativity. However, some people don't have the desire to deal with the pitfalls of working for themselves. Maybe, AI, intelligent virtual assistants, virtual asset creation tools, and other technologies could accelerate job growth and demand in areas that humans most excel at and spark a new Renaissance.

In the future, most people will have multiple jobs over the course of their lifetimes and learning/retraining will be a lifelong process. At some point, even the most well-educated, well-connected and empathetic will find much of their jobs deskilled and displaced by AI. By this point, ownership over the economic resources will have to be collectively owned (and by that I don't mean the bureaucratic nightmare that was the USSR but something incorporating at least cybernetics and mass participation; it would also have to be global in scope) in order to ensure common prosperity and social stability with planning mechanisms limited to broad outlines such as proportionate development, minimizing the disparity between town and country, ecological sustainability, etc. while markets at the level of the firm would ensure minimal costs and maximal profitability.

Food and other organic materials can be produced in limitless quantities thanks to prior innovations in cellular agriculture All vehicles are one hundred percent electric and autonomous and the petroleum industry has ceased to exist. Most people prefer the speed and efficiency of Drone travel over cars People interact more virtually than physically, as the virtual world is indistinguishable from the real world and live action entertainment platforms are a thing of the past Ai can precisely replicate human interaction, most humans closest friends and companions are Ai backed digital entities and video games have become perpetual self-manifesting worlds where human avatars are mere visitors The financial system as we know it today has disappeared, scarcity and mankind's demands are solved through rapid technological development and diffusion brought about by the current ai's superhuman engineering and production capabilities. Buildings which once functioned as commercial outlets have either been demolished or converted into living space Petroleum-based materials are no longer utilized in manufacturing Asteroids are minded at self-comfiguring autonomous processing facilities on or in orbit around the moon and Mars A "Ring city" exists in Earths orbit and some humans reside permanently here. It also doubles as a processing and distribution center for space resources. Portions of this ring city contain compartments filled with programmable matter where humans go to fully immerse themselves in virtual worlds using their neural implants. Most of Earths energy comes from space-based solar capture Drones of every conceivable design and function are produced to enhance the supply chain Buildings and infrastructure can be broken down and moved on a wim using selm-assembling robotic substructures Every condition or ailment known to man has essentially has been cured and human lifespan is essentially indefinite thanks to a nanoengineered tissue repair and immune response triggerd through the nervous system by an Ai neural implant Moores law has long ended and the most powerful computers can only be made ever larger and/or work in tandem. Computer chips the size of walls exist with Quadrillions of transistors, which are used to power a god-like superintelligent hive mind Needless to say, work is no longer a part of human existence

Solar is not optimal since it requires a lot of space and the reflected sunlight can have a negative effect on the global environment. Also transporting that energy from the place of production to the areas needed is going to be a huge engineering challenge.

There are many different dimensions. Everybody needs to realize that we manifest what happens in our world. These videos are just another way to add your belief to what they want to happen. Some people will live in a dimension that has all the AI and like in the movie where the AI takes over the humans and you become the slaves of the AI that will happen if you believe that. Then there’s other people that manifest a total different world that don’t need AI and everything is natural and everyone lives in harmony. So it’s up to you to decide what type of world you’re gonna live in. Don’t let somebody feed you your belief. Manifest the world that you want to live in don’t let somebody manifested for you. Just like for instance 50 years ago people were saying that the world was gonna end we were gonna destroy ourselves and we were gonna blow the world up with these big military bombs that was just somebody trying to make you manifest that. Just like all the problems we’re having today we have to take care of one problem before we start more problems. Everything you see in videos and on TV are mind control they are setting a seed in your brain so you manifest that. So the only thing you should really be manifesting right now is that we need to take care of today’s problems in the world and we could all live in harmony together as one. If we could do that this world would be great we don’t need some robot doing things for us taking our jobs so that way you could lay around get fat and die early. We could do things for ourselves we don’t need a robot to do it for us we’re already lazy enough look at society today with the foods we eat and everything we do 95% of this whole population is prediabetic. Think for yourself don’t let somebody tell you your future because we manifest our future if somebody plants a seed in your head and that’s what you believe then that’s what you’ll end up in.
