For the Big Picture Show, the "Eddy confesses to Edd about being a foul-up wannabe loser" scene, and then Eddy tearfully telling everyone the truth about his big brother were both the final catalysts that sparked Eddy to finally grow up. Sure, helping Edd with his confidence issues through wrestling training in "Tag Yer Ed", letting Edd stay with him in "Momma's Little Ed", changing a light bulb on the Christmas tree in "Ed, Edd n Eddy's Jingle Jingle Jangle", and standing up for Edd against the Kankers in "A Fistful of Ed" were all enough to start Eddy on his way, but getting told by Edd that their friendship was over and then later telling the truth about his big brother were both the final shocks needed to show Eddy the light. All of the Eds really had terrible family lives if you think about it. Ed had been psychologically abused, didn’t have many possessions, treasured his comics as he wasn’t given many “real” books and they took away the freaking stairs when he was grounded. Plus, they babied Sarah and enabled her to be manipulative and verbally abusive towards Ed. Edd’s parents were neglectful. They just left him a bunch of chores to keep him busy and don’t interact with him otherwise. It could be that they were the reason as to why he wears that hat as a punishment for neglecting to do his chores or not performing well in school which has made him become so diligent, studious and morally superior to those his age. Eddy’s parents belittled him and made him feel inferior to his older brother. So whenever he was physically abusive to Eddy, they’d allow it as a way to “toughen him up and become a man”. Ed was never allowed to be a kid, so he’s more immature amongst his friends where he’s free to do so while you still see him being responsible and capable when he’s put in charge of caring for Sarah (which he does really well despite how horrid she is to him), Edd was never allowed to mess up so he had to mature faster and learn to become more self-reliant to avoid mistakes and Eddy was never allowed to be himself as his family always saw him as lesser than his brother which is why he always put up a front and was so insecure. I’m so happy that in the end, everyone around them finally accepted them despite their oddities which is what they were always looking for❤

"I'm your dad's brother Benedict, your UNCLE!" Finding out Father was Nigel's uncle was definitely Gen Z's version of Darth Vader's "No, *I* am your father". Benedict’s real voice is provided by Jeff Bennett, the voice of Johnny Bravo as well as Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel in Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Dexter's Dad in Dexter's Laboratory, and Kowalski in the Penguins of Madagascar TV series! While his dark silhouette Father voice was done by Maurice LaMarche, voice of The Brain in Pinky & The Brain and Animaniacs as well as Inspecter Gadget and Big Bob in Hey Arnold! I loved watching Nigel lose it when he realized his father was Numbuh Zero. Most of the time, he stays pretty calm, and when he does let loose, it's out of anger. This is one of the few times he loses his cool for being happy. The main message from KND that always stuck with me is while growing up is inevitable, it doesn’t mean we should forget our pasts and ignore our childhoods, and you can still be a kid at heart. For when Arnold saw his parents wake up, I like that they attempted to incorporate the show's title into a touching scene, but when you think about it, it's really awkward for two parents to see their child after several years and just say "hey". A fun fact about Channel Chasers is that the Rugrats parody section was actually animated by Klasky Csupo! I think that the ending of Channel Chasers makes sense; making everyone forget everything doesn't mean it never happened at all, and it still meant something for Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda. And maybe his parents somewhere in their subconscious. Also, think about it, in the ending of Channel Chasers, we see Timmy as an adult, married to Tootie, with kids and everything. So I feel like no matter what, this is definitely what his future ends up being. Channel Chasers would've been the perfect series ending. In an alternate timeline, Fairly OddParents never made Sparky, the live-action movies, the Paramount+ show, and ended the original show with Power Hour 3 and Channel Chasers as a season 5 thing in 2006 instead of a season 4 thing in 2004

How Big Picture Show didn't get an actual movie theater release is a crime.

It all has to do with those box office returns not being able to be saved by Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup due to the whole origin movie being seen as kind of pointless by many (especially with the Nursery Rhyme intro every episode giving you all the info you need to know)...and scared CN Studios off doing theatrical releases...that said EE&E had a a good set up for one and so did Operation Z.E.R.O. since there actually was the acronym joke there.

At least we got a theatrical Spongebob Squarepants movie. That movie is amazing too. But unfortunately now the Spongebob movies are going to Netflix. Its all good though, because my theater going days are long over anyway. I went to the theater basically on a weekly basis as a kid. But now as an old man, nah. I don't particularly like Netflix either though. The app is fine. It's the politicking Netflix has been doing that I hate. I miss when it was just a dvd by mail service. @SuperladCK9410 ай бұрын
We also learn she was in charge of the whole group before decomissioning. I mean Abby was the oldest, and Wally the youngest in the group. There's also something to be said about the whole couples in sector V thing. Look at it Abby and Hoagie's Numbuhs plus Wally and Kuki's Numbuhs both equal 7. This is why they make such good partners in both senses of the word...7 is the perfect Numbuh. A Numbuh 6 that was human and had a yellow color scheme would be the best match for Numbuh 1 (as 3 is green blending with 4's orange to make a carrot that Kuki finally gets Wally to eat since she's the team doctor and he eventually will listen to her with 2 and 5 being represented by blue and violet respectively makes indigo, the color of night sky which is the time that "cool stuff" happens from a kid's pov), but it doesn't work because of these reasons 1. Numbuh 6 is a skunk 2. Numbuh 49/Vine has the yellow motif as Lizzie Devine, but not as a plant of which I agree with Kuki's opinion about it. 3. 1+362 doesn't lead into any possible combo to make 7 or a multiple in the team...as in sector V two 7 combos=14, and a third would be 21...which is why Numbuh 1 and his wacky theories can't have Numbuh 6...unless there is a human Numbuh 6 out there somewhere since Bradley is only honorary.

To be honest Drakken had a really genius take over the world plan in this movie. Make a robot army out of a cute little mascot to be sold to everyone via a fast food toy while distracting Kim with a guy who seemed like a decent boy. And true if Shego couldn't figure out the plan then Kim most likely wouldn't.

As for So the Drama, and Kim worrying about dating popular guys and her "..oh" reaction, I think it makes sense even within context of the movie: While Kim did worry about what Bonnie say, it wasn't because of Ron not being popular, it was because she'd go to the prom with him as "just a friend", someone who still refuses to grow up. At that point, Kim wanted to, and was ready for them to be an actual couple, the whole conflict between them was Kim wanted him to grow up and be there with her, but Ron kept refusing to change until he eventually gained the courage, while Kim at that point was tired of their uncertainty and the fact they've reached time of prom, yet they're still undecided on where they stand in their relationship. You can even see it in the hallway scene, where Kim briefly perks up when Ron told her he knows what her being sad is about, because she thought he's finally going to ask her out, but he didn't, and she, again, became dissapointed. Eric coming up ended up being more of a rebound for her, which is why she gets over it immediately as soon as Ron confirms what she's been wanting to hear, that he likes her, so the "Oh" was more of a relief and break in a very long tension.

I definitely understand why you see the arc this way. I think I still see it differently but this was a real interesting perspective on it so, thanks for this.
@hapytreefriends789 ай бұрын
@@ToonrificTariq well, early on, when discussing with monique and subject of ron, she admits she wants them to be a date and not friends, and she constantly makes an effort to let ron make the move, like see if he was going to ask her out in hallway and even much later on, in the treehouse, but both times ron refused; even more it applies in context of the whole show and season 3 in particular which was all about kims failed attempts to get the relationship going with ron, it’s something she’s been pursuing for a long time by then, and so the drama is the low point where failures get to her.

For as amazing as Big Picture Show turned out, it’s frustrating to read about all the scrapped scenes. In initial stages of planning it was going to have a theatrical release, so they storyboarded all these big budget ideas, like Jonny having a trippy nightmare about the Eds and a scene where the Eds eat bad gravy that makes them hallucinate in claymation. The gravy scene was intended to come after Edd revealed the “dodgeball incident” which the characters made vague references to all throughout the series. That scene would also have revealed a memento from the incident is what’s under the hat (I won’t spoil it in case anyone wants to read about it themselves). Most of this info can be found compiled on various tumblr blogs with credible sources and receipts. Specifically the Edd hat reveal is on the deviant art of Raven Molisee, one of the board artists One less sensational cut scene is where Lee kisses Jimmy and sucks his entire face into her mouth. AKA was smart to remove that

I completely missed out on Ed, Edd, and Eddy, but I swear, every second I see of that show's animation blows me away. Nothing jams that much motion and expression into so little time. No other show goes off model that often to convey what it wants. No other cartoon looks like that! I've got so much admiration for it, seriously need to get on that show soon.

Just like the last video I knew this was gonna be a good one as soon as I saw eene on the thumbnail lol. The section on big picture show had me smiling the whole way through, it really is such a masterpiece as far as cartoon movies go. Ed, Edd, n Eddy ended before I was old enough to really be aware of it, so the only reason I ended up watching it was because of a video review of the movie that made it sound so good I had to go watch the whole show. That was like 4 years ago now but I've been rewatching it again as of late, and the quality of just about everything from the animation to the music to the characters is still just insane to me. Really loved this video!! Thank you for making such good content!!

Watching this video and you bringing up how Timmy is reminded of how much his parents love and care for him in Channel Chasers reminded me of another episode during the show's run. There was an episode somewhere in the early seasons where Timmy just wishes his parents just didn't care about him, in that episode he realizes how grateful he is to have parents who although aren't always present, they do care for him. Enjoy your content btw.
