I grew up in the south west, in the green valley, different to my siblings, (my siblings travelled a different paths, teenage pregnancy, alcohol abuse, prison, long term unemployment) I studied hard, qualified for my chosen career. This allowed me to travel, the experience broadened my mind. Spanian keep showing different parts of life that can be accomplished. I hope it inspires the hard knock kids to aim for something different other unemployment, drink, drugs and prison.

I’ve just remembered something that I’ve not thought about for years. My older sister and I went to live in a bungalow/ chalet in Gloucestershire (UK) when we were in our early 20’s, both for different reasons. It belonged to my Dad. The bungalow was called “Interlaken”. The word means ‘between the lakes’. The bungalow had a lake at the bottom of the garden, and another to the side. Wow. I can’t believe I’ve just remembered that.
