The jump is actually not super armour. It's one of the only moves with knockback-based armour. So it's nearly unbreakable at 0 but past around 70 you can start edgeguarding it pretty hard

@@Game2Snow if yoshi presses any button at all while the armour is active, it goes away. So this often leaves people thinking they broke the armour when Yoshi actually just lost it. Corrin up b has really high base knockback though doesn't it? I could see that breaking the armour SUPER early

Yoshi as one of the best recovery if you know what you're doing. Its only real wicknesses are getting footstooled, or command grabs, but the character has enough recovery mixups to prevent that. If the super armor of the double jump break while you're offstage, you would probably be dead with any other character anyway.

@@olbluelips when you press a button and lose the armor your knock back goes back to normal but when it breaks it is reduced by a lot For example if I double jump onto sephiroth gigaflare then I will live at 100 but if I press a button during the jump I will lose the armor and die like any other characters

I didn’t realize the bell couldn’t stun Yoshi because of his armor from his double jump, that’s why he caught it at the beginning, looking at the percent it definitely hit him. Edit: Just got to the point where he pointed out himself. Still News to me though.

Back air is great for Yoshi because it's disjointed, spaces well, sets up for a lot of combos at most %s, and sets up for reverse up tilts (which gives the most frame advantage for up tilt combos and kill confirms).

Yoshi is terrifying... terrifyingly easy to play! I'm not a pro gamer, but a friend I play with regulary (who's waaay better than me) is terrified of my Yoshi. I keep getting this insane combos, spikes and stuff like that without even trying. It's all Yoshi. You learn the basics and start spammig A till you kill something. It just works! Of course, Yoshidora is on another level. I wish I had those reflexes...

I've always thought Yoshi was top 20 since the game came out, the problem is that people think he's entirely a mashing character. He has a lot of little things that can push the character from a good wifi character to a really solid overall character with few weaknesses. Something I didn't see Yoshidora do was utilize his crawl, but it can be relatively niche in its utility. Also I don't think I saw him use him down tilt once or go for jab locks when he definitely could have tried.

Bruh I main Yoshi from the start of Smash Ultimate and my first ever main, but I planning to main another character in 2022 to either Pyra and Mythra, Roy or Chrom, or Bowser because I like their play stile better and Xenoblade is the best. I just not feeling it for the Yoshi anymore because either I just like other characters play stile and not just seeing and Yoshi’s winning majors. But YoshiDora is telling me that Yoshi is still viable and really good and showing me a lot of combos or confirms that I never know in my life! I’m hoping YoshiDora will win events or do well again to some top players!

Im cursed because im best with yoshi. Ive always been. In sm4sh ds he was the only one i can beat classic mode 9.9 without dying, same with ultimate, same with brawl, melee. Its weird seeing the top tier not land half of his eggs, but its defitely possible to spam players off the stage with them. I will admit ive never thought of the top but he ratified the knockback. I also learned that yoshi has super armor during the second jump which is IMPORTANT news to me. When you have an airduel, superarmor can prove very usefull against characters like shiek and greninja who can counter most of your attacks with priority and similar attack speed. God I just want to be better at gannon but yoshi loves me so much i need to be more grateful 😂❤
