Just made this, August 2024, half quantities and works very well. Under 30 minutes (half quantity) from start to finish. Cooked stove top using my Ooni cast iron pizza skillet. Used to accompany some white bean and chorizo, and Cavolo Nero soup and afterwards with some strawberry jam, worked perfectly.

That looks very good. When you said once you get good at it you don't need to measure anymore. Reminded me of years ago and my sister in-law was visiting for one of the first times and mom had made rolls to go with dinner and she asked mom for the recipe and mom replied oh dear I don't know I don't have a recipe I just make rolls.

Bread! One of my favorite food groups. Unfortunately, I need to cut back on the carbs. You aren't making it easy......especially dipping it in home made jam!. Thanks for another tasty recipe.

I missed some vids eh... Got to set my lights up and I will binge watch at the same time. I have never had Bannnock. Had what they call snake bread here I bet its the same. Its done on a stick on the fire.

Most everywhere has some form of easy old fashioned bread, I plan to do a video on one I grew up with some time, that one is fried like a pancake.

Ymmm......Bannock bread, fresh-baked and hot right from the oven and onto the cooling rack, and the taste test, maybe spreading some peanut butter before applying the jam? Anyways it looks good and yeah lard or bacon grease is the stuff to use when cooking, besides its healthier for us than using the highly refined veggie oils. LOL...even Udik and Leo wanted some!

"healthier for us than using the highly refined veggie oils" exactly and it has flavour, lard is awesome for baking IMO, on other oil comes close.
