Casey, Illinois is a small town in the United States with a population of just under 3,000 people. Despite its size, it is home to a unique and interesting collection of "big things" - giant objects that are larger than life and a must-see for anyone passing through the area.
Casey's big things are the brainchild of local businessman Jim Bolin, who began creating these large-scale objects in 2012 as a way to draw visitors to the town. Today, there are over a dozen of these objects scattered throughout Casey, each one impressively large and meticulously crafted.
One of the most famous of these big things is the world's largest wind chime, which stands at 55 feet tall and can be heard from over a mile away. The wind chime is made up of five metal tubes, and is a popular spot for tourists to take photos and videos.
Another notable big thing in Casey is the rocking chair, which measures over 32 feet tall and weighs more than 16,000 pounds. The chair is made entirely out of wood and is an impressive feat of engineering and craftsmanship.
Other big things in Casey include the world's largest mailbox, the world's largest pitchfork, and the world's largest golf tee. Each one of these objects is unique and has its own interesting story and history behind it.
In addition to the big things, Casey also has a number of other attractions for visitors to enjoy. There is a small museum that showcases the history of the town, as well as a number of local restaurants and shops that offer unique and delicious food and souvenirs.

Not only the chime but everything looks bigger the rocking chair, the big piggy bank, the cactus, the scale, the pencil, barbershop pole. Literally, it is the big thing in a small town. I really loved the world's largest things in Casey Illinois. Great content and I think I should visit Illinois.

We missed out dropping mail in the mailbox, apparently there's something cool that happens when you do. Also the teeter totter was locked up when we were there. But I've been told that teeters too. There are so many things to do in this town! The pretzel shop looked pretty cool. I don’t think I’ve seen a pretzel shop in a long time. And cool that there is a golf course. Thanks for taking us around this town!

It's really cool what they've done with Casey. In most of the shops you can pick up a map and little booklet that shows you where all of the things are in town. It's a great way to spend a day on a city wide scavenger hunt basically. The food was really good at Richards Farm Restuarant (where the World's Largest Pitchfork is located), and a great way to end the trip. Plus an ice cream cone from The Big Dipper (World's Largest Mailbox).

Although I live in North Carolina, I"m an Illinois girl, born and raised! i've heard of Casey, but didn't get there much and it was a long time ago when I lived there. Looks like a lovely town. They certainly love giant statues and sculptures, don't they? LOL :D def a very instagramable town! I love the feel of the old time buildings with the new and larger than life structures. It gives it a quaint but modern feel. What a fun town! I'll have to check it out next time I go back to Illinois.

Everyone I talked to in Casey was super proud of what they're doing there too! I think that made it even better, when everyone is so friendly and inviting. You never know how people will react when you're walking around with a video camera.

The golf tee is located at 203 North East 13th St, not 203 North East Street. Great video of my hometown, we are proud of how far we have come.

Great tour, informative and entertaining. Firs time I saw a large rocking chair, I wonder what is the story behind that. I wish that piggy bank has some coins on it. hehe. Thanks so much! I'm trying to figure out a good balance between informative and entertaining, so I'm glad it came across on both! The first large thing in Casey was actually the Wind Chime. From there they just continued building across town. It's helped bring a lot of tourists to the small town. We had never heard of it before, but found it on a list of places to check out in Illinois.

The history in a nutshell is after the local factories either shut down or moved to other locations our little town was dying. The mayor at the time was Ed Bolin, his family owns and operates Bolin Enterprises, the Bolins used pipes from the pipelines they install to make a wind chime, after it was checked and deemed the world's largest wind chime the Bolins went to work making big things that would attract tourists. We have around 2 dozen world record big things in and around Casey and more are being made everyday. Who knows how many more will be certified this year!
