Watch the BBC first on iPlayer 👉 bbc.in/iPlayer... This Peruvian bus driver puts his life at risk to drive his passengers safely across a treacherous bus route.
Documentary series revealing the extraordinary animals and remarkable people who make a home on the iconic mountain ranges of the world - Rockies, Himalaya and Andes.
The Andes is the longest mountain range in the world and home to astonishing hidden worlds, extraordinary animals and remarkable people. A female puma and her three cubs hunt in the mountains of the frozen south. Spectacled bears search for water on scorched mountain forests, and the descendants of the Inca gather in an ancient ceremony to build a bridge made from woven grass. High in the cloud forest, a newly discovered shape-shifting frog baffles scientists with its superpowers and in the Atacama desert - the driest place in the world - strange reptiles battle for access to precious water. This is the mountain range of surprise and wonder.

We Peruvians get hammered by earthquakes, cruel geography, landslides and so forth. But we are still here, we have been here longer than anyone in the Americas and we will still be here after this pandemia dies down. If this bus goes down some people might survive, chances are much better than dropping from around 30000ft in an airplane😓 but then again, the amount of lives lost on roads far surpasses that of aircraft related fatalities

@@dr.shubham Tanggula Mountains, Kunlum Mountains, Mountains close to line borders. Plateau has rivers, valleys and passes, not as many but It is. Passes:Gyatse La, Segu La, Simi la, Bodpo La, Jang La, Chok La,Pang La,,Chamksang,Thang La, Thong La,Aba La,Thip La, Tanggula La, Mila la,,,,,. The list goes on. Maybe India has deep gorges and more dificultt passes, but over 5000 m only a few: Leh zone/Ladakh. Tíbet is a high Plateau with uncountless square kilometres above 4500+. The highest passes of Asia are in Tíbet Plateau(India nearly). Take a look Aksai Chin or Tangulla Mountains. However, I prefered India zone. Ladakh is amazing place to take a bike( high clearance vehicle recomended): Wari La;Kardhung La; Chang La,Marsimilik La,Ane La; Umbing la; Lipu La,,Fotu La,Namika La, Changi la; Kushu La,Shingo La, Sisir La,Shasi La, Chorbat la,Thit Zharbo La,Lanek la, Tsermanghen La, Barachala la,Pensi La,,Archu La, Pangong lake passes Lol, you thought I didnt know anything about the topic. I think scalade increase over Pangong lake zone, and other zones (LAC), maybe in Sikkim as well ( you know Doklam Plateau)).Take care of China.China is joining lands to its territory. Good luck Cheers from Spain!!

He is a true hero!. Years ago I crossed the Andes fom Chile to Argentina in an international bus and it was my worst nightmare as the driver was a young man full of confiden, he was singing and making yokes saying to the passengere" don't be afraid this is like love, you suffer but you don't die. That day they were traveling more young women the same age as him as never before he said, so he was playing the charming laughing, yoking, talking and singing all the way up and down the Andes for those two hours but for me it was an eternity. The crossing is worst and higher that this one in this video.
