I can explain the curvy lines, it's all just in the arrangement of the dots, if you look they arranged them in a certain way. Our brain doesn't really notice it and curves the lines to compensate for the misplacement

Quick tip with stuff like the panda and the squares with the dots it's mostly dependent on angles so if you have a laptop the easiest way to see it is to just change the angle of the screen
