Pakistan Aviation has a good track record as far as the private airlines are concerned, Airblue had one crash in 2010, primarily because of incliment weather and pilot error. But that was one of case. Airblue now has new aircraft, a fleet of 10-11 A320s including some A320 NEOs. Serene, SIAL and Fly Jinnah are the other three worth mentioning Airlines with new aircraft and an excellent safety record.

Correction: Most civilian airports are under Civil Aviation Authority, however some airports are shared for historical reasons. Skardu began as a military airbase and over time began to also be used for civilian flights but it remains primarily the airbase for northen airforce [PAF] command. Because of the decade old hostility with India which as you know has a population nearly seven times greater our country always feels under siege. It would be like tiny Ireland taking on England. Quite a disparity in population size. Because of this resource disparity all sort of ways have been evolved to gain maximum military advantages at minimum cost. So civilian airports are designed to quickly convert into active airbases should the need arise. In addition if you have driven on Pakistani motorway network you might have noticed sections of the median barrier is made of moveable heavy duty plastic - this is found on M2 Islamabad to Lahore, M1 Islamabad to Peshawar etc. These sections of the motorway are designed to be used as air strips in a emergency. PAF regularly trains on these sections when fighters land on these sections. I am geek so know all this sort of stuff! All the best.

@@RajeshRavindranathan Thanks for that correction - it was a typo on my part. Yes, the hostility is decades old and precedes my birth. Without going into details it is rather tragic and sadly will probably clock a century. Let's hope we don't do what the Irish/English did whose hostility carried over into many centuries !

When foreigners and these vloggers come to Pakistan they get spoiled so much because of kindness and hospitality of our people by getting many free food, fruits, meal, rides even free offers of staying at home so when people ask money for there skills and services they portrait them as a bad guy though when you go in there countries like UK or Germany they don't even give there Shit for free so my humble request to our people never afraid of asking money for your services it's your right specially to those people who are thankless and critizing you all the time.
