"The World Was So Easy" Lost video - SOLVED!! -Song/Vid : "Just Passin' By" - Big Picture(1994)

As per your requests -- This is a grab from an, almost degraded to the point of oblivion, dusty, old, VHS tape from 1994. Thanks to all the Lostwave community and others for their dedication to bring lost music back into the light! I wrote this song as a challenge to see if I could make a chorus in the time signature of 9/8 - in my very early days of songwriting ( not proud of the lyrics, haha!) - and it ended up scoring us a record deal! The video was shot just north of Toronto, Canada. I can't recall the director's name. Big Picture was a band from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The odd time signature of the chorus made for very strange dancing at shows! Oh my goodness, this is amazing! Thank you sir for uploading this. I'm Ethan, the one whose baby tape contained this song. For much of my life, I've wondered what song this was and I was always hoping it would turn up out of the blue. Unfortunately it didn't. So 3 years ago, I took it to the internet in hopes that someone can identify it. We speculated that it aired on February 20th, 1996. Who would've thought that it would be found on that exact day 28 years later? It feels like divine intervention to me. Wow! So happy this mystery has finally been solved. I have been obsessed with this search and that short 3 second clip since December, trying to think outside the box on how I would solve the mystery, cross referencing bands and artist from the early 90's with an absurd amount of RPM magazines that I found online, trying to find that exact couch (I think it's a jacquard couch? not really sure ) even today I was staring at the pixels in that photo frame to see if I could make out what exactly it's an image of, It looks like a skeleton smoking to me, not sure how finding that exact photo or frame would have helped the search but it was more like putting puzzle pieces together and eventually having an "A ha! I figured it out" moment I was even discussing with my mother a while back where this was filmed, If it was an unfinished basement, 60's house/garage, farm, bohemian tent, my mind went places clearly lol. The stained glass window was the strangest part but I had seen 90's country music videos that featured that as a motif just having windows in front of the camera for some artistic reason so I guess it was common at the time Also I had read an article about NCN where they said they had collected some music videos up until October 1994 so I guess this was one of them, instead of being a new song at the time the famous 3 second clip played on the network (it wasn't new when it played) Anyways I'm glad the search can finally be put to rest and hopefully we can make more massive and successful lost media finds and discoveries this year, I had fun joining in on the search even if I did it mainly solo God bless you Asif and Ethan for this fun and wild ride it was a great way to start off the new year!
