You guys did such an amazing job. And great work capturing the moments as well as tuning the car. I should have walked over to watch it go, but I was busy fixing transmissions and trying not to shoot myself in the foot (which I did anyway) with the Pro Mod. I saw Buzzman on the starting line at some point he said hello, great job for great people. Maybe next year we show up with a 1/4 mile gear in the Camaro and have a match race. Probably don’t have anything for the 291 mph but it would be fun to try!! Congrats all!! 👏🏻

A 291 MPH brick! WOW! Must have been a handful in the lights. That three rail must be the ticket, every bit of fuel you through at it, it just wanted more. I was kind of expecting it to blow the tires off at 1000 ft. Could it be that the frontal area is being effectively channeled through the chassis to plant the rear because the cage area is stiffer? Really well thought out build. Congrats and thanks for sharing!

The car is made to leave on a dirt road somewhat. So 60ft does suffer. Being a high gear only car doesn’t help that as well.

Love it. Stock stroke, 4.250 bore, Hot 6:71, single 44. 4-disc clutch, 60 gallon Rage ! Wow. Half of an nhra big show set up. And super low maintenance. The heads and blower stay on between rounds ! This is the perfect combination. Nhra has destroyed Nitro FC and top fuel. Period.

Did/do you use the 'wax' technique w/ dish liquid to help condensation issues..? There are times you just can't do much, lol, but when (at JFR) I FINALLY learned about applying and removing dish soap like wax, I was just shocked at how FEW people knew about and used that! (back to the video, that is beyond just "humid" Ron, lol, looks more like like drag racing in the Amazon! LoL -- that is just wild!)

I think I can safely add that you can run some different stuff to get more power w/o having to push the living hell out of the fixed blower size, gearing, etc. etc. allows ya to really dial in a setup. What's Chevy about it? Don't get me wrong, I like it, but when you say world's fastest Chevy. I'm thinking stock block, factory sheetmetal. Not a funny car. I'm a Nitro-Funny car nut,so don't start throwing rocks. I just don't see your claim to fame. I could put a plastic Yugo on that same chassis and claim to have the worlds fastest Yugo. It's not a Yugo, and it's not a Chevy II. It's a nostalgia funny car. Is it the world's fastest nostalgia funny car? Plus you're gonna have to run real fast to even get a light on Austin Coil's ass. He was one of the best.

This should become an all New class of FC's with the great looking in proportion nostalgia bodies, the 6:71, single 44, 60 gallon Rage pump, stock stroke crank, 4.250 bore engine etc. The current 21 gallon nostalgia class is B-O-R-I-N-G !! And the bodies are all out of proportion and most of them look modernized and aero modified. NOT nostalgia. The above BUZZMAN car is they way to do it. And it appears to be durable and low maintenance. Great combination.
