Jeff Leonard here. Rob, I went to drag races for a LONG time, first as a fan and later as a free lance writer and photographer. Many different ones, names dont matter. I've learned more from a couple of your videos than from all those years combined. Very informative, matter of fact. If I win the lottery, you would be the first guy I would call. Keep up the good work!

I personally know what it takes to run a low 9/high 8 second car program, and it's enough work for me. I couldn't even IMAGINE the time, resources, and dedication it would take to campaign a Top Fuel rig... 😳 GOOD LUCK GUYS! Give 'er hell... 🤘

l've been a subscriber for quite a while, if l may say, without being disrespectful, you need, pretty please, to post more content. l am always very interested in the tech that you post, cutting up top fuelers, and doing what you do, please, we want more, least l do, and l'm sure l'm not the only one. l bet the tour of this shop, could have easily been 5x longer, and no one would complain. there is SO much crap posted on youtube, the good stuff, IMHO there is very little of.

I had the privilege of meeting Rob at PRI… I walked up and told him a couple of years ago I made the mistake of getting involved with a blown alcohol car and that this guy on you tube showed me a dozen ways to keep the blower belt on… told him to tell that guy thanks. We shook hands and he said “thanks for telling me that…” Rob, you’re a real gentleman and I wish you and your team all the best. You are the genuine article….

The surefire way, if you want to do that, is to get on with any of the mom & pop a-fuel or nitro teams and offer to sweep/clean and do whatever for free. At that level, it should just be a thursday-sunday deal a couple of times a year. Watch and learn from anyone, do whatever you can to the best of your ability, and always be on time/never complain and you'll not only learn the job but gain the most important part: references. When I started on a nitro funny car team in 2009, I was washing parts and doing all the jobs no one wanted to do after hanging around this tiny team's pit for an hour. 2 races later I'm learning how to take off/install the clutch assembly and surface discs/floaters (helped that I was going to tech school for CNC machining) as one of the clutch guys couldn't make that race. Moved up to full-time clutch guy before I got out and went and did the machining thing full-time in 2011.

@@pro-seriesfabrication3810 my issue is that I live in Denmark were we don't have drag racing. I mean even circuit racing is heavy regulated for noise here. I envy the US for its racing and car scene.
@pro-seriesfabrication3810
@pro-seriesfabrication3810 Жыл бұрын
@@MartinBalle7 gotcha. Well, the dream is attainable if you want. Sell what you've got and move to the US. Every now and then you'll see a team post up for just about anyone trainable with drive. The last one I can think of was Clay Millicans deal when they got the Stringer car going. They had posted for resumes. I think this was 2019? I'd also recommend getting a CDL truck driving license. Should have a couple of teams interested just on that...someone to drive AND work on the car is always a need.
