I purchased one of the 165 from the Black Friday sales. I also purchased a ball head instead of the video head. I use the OM System 150-600mm lens on it, along with the Panasonic G9-2. The 165 at fully collapsed is a good height for sitting on a chair, while photographing park cricket. I have the balls on both heads lightly tightened so that there is some movement, but not all floppy, and it supports the camera well, carrying the weight happily. Overall I am very happy with the one I have purchased, and paid for. Cheers, thanks for the review Shane.

I agree at 07:40, wish it was easier to get the ball head dead center. One other thing is I wish you could pan with the feet spread but with no tripod head. I have this model plus the older P-204s and I miss being able to pan without a tripod head. When sitting in bleacher it helps keeping a smaller system without having a tripod head.

I just got that two days ago and its really the best monopod for the price. It's so smooth and you do not have to hold it with your foot for it to raise and lower. It really is that smooth with no effort. Anyone skeptical, don't be. I'm using it with my Sony 200-600 with 1.4 TC.

The Sirui monopod is a solid option in terms of build quality, speed, and functionality. If you have any questions about the Monpod or any of the camera gear, please let me know. Links are below. 🎥😎 🛒 B&H - bhpho.to/3ZF7X2G 🛒 Sirui Global - bit.ly/3ZkK7YB (affiliate links)

Very nice monopod. I already have a BENRO monopod. But, if I were in the market for another one, the SIRUI would hit the spot. I've added it to one of my B&H wishlists for future reference.

Did yours rattle? I have seen 3 of these and the all rattle, mine had the issue too so I opened it up and stuck some velcro inside where there is a metal road that has some play

When it’s locked it’s almost dead silent but if I shake it, there’s a low frequency rattle. Nothing I would worry about. If it’s closed down without being locked it rattles more

By the way I had to check it wasn’t something I noticed or tested for the review. I’ll add that to future videos.

@@GeekyNerdyTechy I don't like the legs. they stey only on flat service. if you want to use it on angled rocky surface, you can't ;/

@@isavkov I know what you mean but If you're handing the monopod on a tricky surface and you're behind it, you can flip the legs up and use it the spike or rubber foot in the center. It's good to know different use cases though, cheers! 🙂
