Loved this. Liked and subscribed. I built my own plate loadable oak log 2 years ago. 147lbs base weight. Nice weather is finally here, gotta get it out and start working!

Thanks for sharing. I'm not a big guy, but am an older guy with a lot of old injuries, wear and tear. I could've keep my elbows from flaring out on the standing tricep extentions, so started using an e-z curl bar. I was able to quickly find a posotion that allowed me to keep my elbows where they should be.

three awesome tips for everybody -- i would personally add push presses with a bar or yoke aswell as log just to add variety in your tricep power development

This reminds me, a buddy of mine wanted to go build some public logs for log press. Me and him have the skills and materials, I should go do it. Good video here. 👍

Solid advice. I only get access to the log every two or three Strongman Sundays, but I'm trying real hard to work overhead stuff into my weekly program to help.

I know a lot of throwers use heavy 1/4 front squats in the rack, for that leg drive

Hello Mitchell, first of all congrats on the WSM and Arnold win! I wanted to ask if you could go over strongman training splits? i experience the field of strongmantraining like an absolut jungle, so perhaps something diving into inseason/offseason for beginner/intermiate non-enhanced(if it makes a difference) lifters. ofcourse there are essential movement patterns and endless posibilities, but i'd love hear your take on this if possible.

What can be done on protecting the ulnar nerves? I messed my up last year trying some skull crushers and it took awhile to get back where i could train. Thanks.

I like Narrow Grip bench and bench press lockout holds for log as well. Thanks for pause idea, will try that next session

That log pin press would destroy my elbows and shoulders. For some reason I can do the tricep movement easily, but when it comes to full triceps contraction everything hurts. I have been doing a lot of dips lately though.
